Dear SilverHorseRacing,
First off, since I don't know if either you or UPR is publicly traded...I don't own stock in either. I do have UPR stuff on my Mustang, but I actually didn't know Silverhorseracing existed with the searches I did for parts. I don't mind calling UPR out...peanut shortage don't you know.
I do know a little bit about competition being in car sales and owning a company with my 9 brothers and sisters that competes regionally for large precast concrete business. You want to talk about cut-throat...not my brothers and sisters
I really have 2 aspects that I will comment on. I went on your website and read your company bio. As a up and coming comapny, I think you are doing yourself a dis-service by posting these UPR took my cookie and ate posts. If you chose not to trademark or protect your copyright (for a variety of reasons, I know), that was your business decision. To me you sound petty and like a whiner. I think that is exactly the wrong profile an up and coming company wants to project. You only emphasize how small you are. People subconsciously want to do business with winners, not whiners.
I do think you are on the right track to emphasize the quality and design excellence of your parts. Why the hell would you mention UPR and give people a reason to check out there website? News flash...it is bigger! I also read you and GT40 posting about intentionally designing a part to fail so they could "copy" the bad part.
How many stupid pills did you take before posting that piece of business garbage? Do you have any idea how fast your reputation design excellence can get flushed down the toilet? Our company survived the great recession because we never wavered in our committment to design excellence. You have to stop thinking like a mom and pop. Hats off to the engineer who said that is a really bad idea.
2nd...UPR and Siverhorseracing share no love...DUH! You are in direct competition with each other. We the consumer really don't expect it to be any other way. We the consumer benefit when you two, and the many other companies, knock heads. The other part is that UPR stepped up and is a partner in keeping this forum a going concern...If you chose not to, that is your decision....I Weather Man do appreciate that they help fund the BEST Mustang Forum on the web...if you (Silverhorseracing) want to piss in UPR's wheaties, do it someplace else.
That last bit does not apply to the fine members of this forum who feel they have a legitimate gripe against UPR.
I wish both companies the best of luck. I benefit when you are both strong and thriving concerns. Silverhorseracing, why aren't you a sponsor? You have some nice stuff on your site.
