I took mine out just now to see if it is tracking straight and my A/C isn't working. It is just blowing ambient air temps. I checked under the hood and the clutch is engaged and spinning on the compressor, but I'm not getting any cold air.

Did you make sure the thermostat was turned down?

Mine did that 1 time last summer while driving across Nebraska (a week after I got the car with 19,000 miles used). Blower sounded like it was running full speed, but little or no air out of vents. Not a good place to happen. I just put the top down and it started working after about 100 miles. Once home I took back to dealer. They pulled the Freon out and recharged. Said they could find no problem, but it never did it again.

mine did the same thing after driving for 10 hours. The nav screen became unresponsive which included the ac... The air was blowing warm...

Never did it again...

Something is really out of whack on it, at full cold it is ambient, if I put it to half cold, it starts blowing warm, at the middle setting it starts blowing hot, and full hot is crazy hot.

Try fiddling around with different settings still. Better to play around with it more and find a solution rather than put yourself in a bind with transportation for back and forth to work. Hit the Max AC button, try regular ac, try turning it off completely etc.

you dont even want to know the mess I have been going through to get my A/c fixed.. Picture 7 months now with no A/C brought it to 4 different dealers plus 2 good years each telling me something different was broken, got from the line being cracked to the compressor not working so the condenser having a crack in it.

Finally found a dealer that would warranty the work for me since I have intake, tune, headers, ect. Turned out to be the condenser with a crack in the upper left corner. Then after I get the car back, I drive it around about 10 miles or so and was appears to be smoke coming from under my hood. No it was not smoke but it was freon spraying everywhere from the A/c line going into the compressor now. The car has been at a local ford since last Monday. There is a nation back order on the hose they claim and said they will have the car for an additional 2-3 more days. I am just happy that they gave me a rental with no problem at all or cost to me for the time being.

Ill let you all know if that actually fixes my problems but 7 months of rain, sun, humidity in South Florida without A/C is No Bueno!

Freezing the compressor? How does that happen?

Maybe you're thinking freezing the evaporator?

You could actually hear it leaking out?

When I stopped and parked, yes I did hear it leaking out. It was also leaking all over my hand. It seemed to be coming from the top left however I could not find the leak under further investigation. I took of the cover on top and the grill and couldn't find where the line was. It may be the condenser leaking like the guy above me mentioned. I dont have any mods done to my car besides a drop in filter, and fog light deletes.

You know A/C systems drip water right?

I know the difference between water and freon.
It was green and oily and there was no cold air coming through it the vents.
Its obvious to me that there is a leak, I just dont know where it is. I could find it but I'd rather let the dealership find and fix it.
