Keep us posted. I am curious how it turns out at the dealership. I hope they make it right for you, but honestly, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Good luck with it.

Damn those look way better than mine LOL. Nice find bro

Yea it's time for something! If the dealership doesn't help me out on this I wonder what I should do with the calipers? I could try to paint them myself and somehow tape off the brembo sign or something.

Come by with a case of beer and I will help.

You could paint them with regular caliper paint and use one of these:

oh wow bad ass! Thanks to you I will probably be painting them and using these stickers

I will run it by them. If they don't wanna help I'll remember that and then fix it myself.

Sounds good I will definitely do that. I'm off next tuesday or wednesday I can't remember exactly. When are you off??

So the dealership says it came to them that way and that they can't do anything about it. I didn't push it much it just gives me an excuse to black them out or something and paint the calipers red or whatever. Dan I'll be contacting you soon haha

that translates to "it came to them with the wheels BLACK with brake dust, and some moron in the detail bay sprayed them down with a wheel cleaner that turned them into what you have now"

i would try a clay bar on the wheels, and i'd make the dealer change out the brake calipers under warranty.

So should I just push this a little harder? I guess I have no choice if I want them to replace it

Whatever "cleaner" was sprayed on the wheels also killed the paint on your calipers. Repaint for all is the only solution.

Piss! I will let you guys know what ends up happening. Either I get the dealer to fix it or I repair it myself.

^ thank you sir. I am just thankful I am fortunate enough to be able to have the car honestly. I am always looking for something to do to it so I will probably just plastidip them unless I can find somebody who will powdercoat them for cheap, and also paint my calipers. I have gotten pretty good at that stuff haha so it actually doesn't look too bad. Plus the plastidip is reversible so I can just get them powdercoated eventually anyways

Hate it that the dealer didn't help you out, but I honestly didn't think they would. Stuff like that needs to be addressed before you take delivery of the vehicle. You have a great attitude about it, though. You have a nice new 5.0 with brembo's, and an opportunity to do some customizing, which you know you wanted to do anyway!

yea I should have pushed it at the dealer but I just didn't know really. I kinda thought they just cleaned em shitty. And yea haha I kinda do wanna do a little if my own customizing! I still love the car even if it has messed up rims and brakes

Plastidipping is a cheap way to cover it up :)
Yes plastidip works wonders! I think I'm gonna plastidip and paint the calipers red until I can get the rims powder coated

Oh yea I got a great deal on it that's another reason I wasn't all that upset with them. Got her for 26k and she had 23k miles on her. Blue book stated near 32k as is minus fucked up rims I guess. A 70 year old retired military man drove it before me
