Just wondering, at what hp point are the stock 2011 axles and c-clips going to fail? I hear they are strong on these cars, but I am putting down some pretty serious numbers now.
I am right at 700 rwhp and have ran in the high 9's on multiple occasions.

You could break an axle at any time or they could last for years.

lol

By the rules, you needed aftermarket axles and c-clip eliminators or different housing ends at 10.99.

I f you break one now, the only thing stopping it from walking out of the housing is the brake caliper and bracket.

I have C-clip eliminators on the schedule but wondered about the axles. Thanks...

I think with your car being an automatic along with having a centri blower with no trans brake you would be hard pressed to break a stock axle. It could happen but I woudn't be too worried about it.

Other than gears I think that is my list as well.

I have been thinking the same thing for a while but figured if I was going to the the elim's this winter I may as well do axles.
One I have not heard much about, is people breaking these in auto cars. I have a little over 500 runs on my car now.

I don't think you are going to have any issues with them on an auto but it is always good to be safe.

I broke a driver side axle on my 2011 M6 on a 6K launch but of course that is a much different situation where the driveline is taking much more shock vs. an auto.

Probably be fine until you shake a radial or maybe a slick. Won't shock them enough now.
