Yeah, a lot more money. I'm sure they'd work without welding. I do like the rounded design, especially if it would sit in the pocket of my floor jack.

I actually have to drive up onto a couple of 2x10 boards. Depending on the side I'm jacking I put one under each tire on that side. Otherwise I can't even get my jack underneath. Have to do the same thing when I drive onto my ramps up front. Have to put the 2x10 in front of the ramp, drive onto that then the ramp.

I have a pair of them and fit like a glove. Also works on my wife's Toyota.

I use a piece of wood under the jack. Once it's up in the air I lower the car onto jackstands that have billet bar stock aluminum between them and the car. The aluminum can be bought very cheap from www.onlinemetals.com

They offered a free set for testing on another forum to confirm they would work on late model Mustangs, so I took them up on it and have a set in route.

This is the auto business, everyone copy's everyone else. If someone comes out with a good design for a product others will copy it, so what. If the original is better than the copy people will still buy it, even at a higher price.

Did UPR 'have' to copy Steeda's to build one? No, they could just have easily copied someone else's LOL.

Just because several companies fail to put out original products does not make it ok. It's lazy and it unfairly siphon's off sales from companies who try to be (somewhat) innovative.

I'll stick to the two jack method. I just use the harbor freight one to get the car high enought to get my 3 ton craftsman under it.
