I know the Carbon/Carbon rotors for the bikes were somewhere between 1000-2000 per rotor not including pads plus you had to have HEAT in them to work. These are not true Carbon Ceramic. Looks like a hybrid. The surface bolts to the alum rotor. Im on the fence on these. I would prolly just go with 2 piece slotted rotors and be done with it.:2cents:

Is it ok that they have like 1mm of material before it hits the top of a bolt holding that material on?

That website just screams "SCAM" to me. I don't know why but it sent my "Spidy Senses" on high alert. They had the brake rotor sizes "almost" right for an S197, if you ignore the factory 14" Brembos that most racers have optioned on the 2011-up GTs and all Boss302s. Maybe someone who doesn't know much about cars, but that can cut-and-paste dimensions from eBay web pages, made this website?

Some of the pictures I recognize from other brake rotor websites, so they are stealing images for one. Not a good sign. And the bolt-together rotor looks really strange, and definitely not how typical carbon or carbon-ceramic rotors are made. That whole "stainless steel" and "green rotor" stuff also sounded like Snake Oil.

Be very very weary. I would bet money this website is a fake, set-up to take people's money but never actually deliver any products. I would be glad to be proven wrong, and that an affordable, lightweight, carbon-ceramic rotor was coming for the S197 Mustang. Why don't one of you guys try it out first... :naughty1:

I seen this website a year or so ago, emailed the company with a lot of questions.. And no response.

Did you also notice in the pic that the "Carbon/Ceramic" material didn't line up very good. It also looks more like phenolic than carbon/ceramic. I'm with Terry on this steer clear. Just get some good 2 piece slotted rotors and your golden! :thumb:

I had a chance to ride a guys Ducati Desmo RR at Laguna Seca once with the Carbon/Carbon brakes. The first outing was scary as shit!!! I didn't drag the brakes enough on my sighting lap and ALMOST went zipping off turn 1. Once you get heat in them tho OH MY GOD! They were hands down the BEST brakes I have ever ridden on! Initial bite wasn't to harsh but the grip was amazing! you could leaver the rear tyre off the deck going into a turn with one finger. You could also brake sssoooo deep into the corner it was unreal! The problem is you don't just replace the pads. You replace the pads AND the rotors together because they both wear together. uber expensive! We stayed with ductile iron rotors and just changed the diameter for the different tracks. :evillaugh:
