2013DIBGT
I Hate Wheelhop
Hello,
I am in the process of gathering all my aftermarket suspension components that I will need to perform the install on my 2013 GT and had a few questions I hope someone can answer.
I purchased some Vorshlag camber plates and am trying to find the Ford part number for the "OEM Spring Rubber" listed in the pic below. I understand that I could use the one from my factory strut but my intention is to not take that apart upon removal so I want to purchase this part separately. I haven't had any luck find this part number anywhere. Any ideas on what the part # is for this component?
In addition, I was curious to know about an aftermarket or factory part # for the dust boots for the front struts. I have a a set of Koni Yellow's going in to replace the factory front struts and will need boots for them. Does Ford sell the dust boots alone? In looking at Fordparts.com I am only seeing the entire front strut and not the boots by themselves.
In doing research I came across another post on a different Forum making mention that you can use Gabriel Part #: 143059 which are sold at Autozone as possible replacements but I'm not sure if this is the case or not?
Lastly, can anyone tell me if FRPP Jounce bumpers are required when lowering a car with Steeda Sport springs? I have seen some say yes and others say the Steeda springs were designed to be used with the factory Jounce setup (As read from an install guide found on American Muscles Website for using Steeda Sport Springs). The thought of not using the FRPP Jounce bumpers is interesting because on the FRPP website they say these should be replaced when using their handling kit which lowers the car a similar amount as the Steeda Sport spring do.
Thanks for any info you can provide.
