RJ, who is doing the machine work and assembly?

I'm having a guy local do the machine work and me and a buddy will be doing the assembly. He is building his dads 01 cobra motor this winter as well so we will only have to buy the tools once! He has build motors before at a performance shop

Dang bud my blown motor got you that tore up? LOL
What kind of budget do you think you'll come in at?
I may see what kind of power you make with this build and then copy it, with maybe higher compression:thumbup:

Just got me thinking more than anything lol Right now it looks like it will come in at $1400 before machine work. So should be around $2000. I am also planning on adding a McLeod RST and one piece driveshaft to handle the power and a boost a pump to help with fuel. Should be under $4,000 total. The compression should allow me to run close to 20 psi on pump gas, so I can make the power I want lol

Did you get those from GTGhost? I see he's had some engine components for sale.

Nope I ended up getting these off eBay from a guy stupid cheap.

CP only makes 16cc combustion chamber pistons now which is like 8.5:1. Way too low for me. These are Saleen/CP pistons made for stock stroke and 9.4:1

I have a couple questions regarding the build if anyone can answer. Does anyone think my cold side/intercooler set up will be restricting trying to make this power? I am running the 2.5" On 3 piping. I am also going to be using the Livernois Stage 3 Turbo cams now so that should help me on the power, I am just hoping I can make my goal of 600+ to the wheels.

If you are locking out the cams then go with the trickflow valve springs. You can use your stock retainers with them and they are only like $200. You can not use them with VCT though. Those are the springs in my engine.

Where did you pick them up at?
