Hey guys,

We're sorry about having to cancel on you guys. In the past, we've actually honored pricing mistakes on a few different occasions that have cost us an arm and a leg. There was that JLT intake/tuner combo about a year ago that was a few hundred dollars cheaper than it was supposed to be. We honored it for nearly a dozen people that ordered it before we had a chance to fix it because we wanted to see everyone happy.

In this particular case, though. The error was so severe that we couldn't honor it and had to cancel. We apologize that we couldn't hook you guys up more, here!

It happens, done it here at my job on accident too. Most logical people will understand the error and get over it quickly

Mofo's mad they didn't get over :roflmao:

Lol, you'd be surprised how pissed people get when they think they got the deal. When pricing cars, it's easy to hit a 2 instead of a 3, etc. So when there's a price for $29,995 on a $45K car; it cracks me up how people will pull the 'it was advertised you have to honor it' card.

You are incredibly right.

We had a Maserati in our inventory 5-6 months ago and someone forgot to put a 1 in. The phones blew up that weekend with people wanting to buy the car for $24,999.

This is a valuable life lesson. If you find a way to cheat a system, do not talk about it or tell people how to do it, because people are inherently selfish and will exploit it to no end. Either bring it to the company's attention, or exploit it if you're comfortable knowing it very well wight come back around again and bite you in the ass... and you are no longer invited to my parties, because I don't like having my shit stolen when you think nobody is looking.

It's a lot easier to say, "I thought this was how to do this, sorry." instead of saying, "I know I helped defraud your automated system for thousands of dollars, but I certainly didn't mean to" after you tell people how to do it.

The smart play here would have been to check with a place like Summit and have them price match it lol. They don't know it's a pricing error on the part of AM.

That's just dumb lol...

pretty much, i saw it checked it out was gonna buy some if it was legit later on, as it would be nice to have a loud and quiet setup. but then i saw the stupid asses buying like a dozen pairs... reminds me of the 12$ nitrous kit a year or so ago where people bought like 40 kits.

I see this from both a consumer and retailer standpoint. Did I expect them to catch this? Duh. Did I expect them to honor this? 50/50. It's like when you walk into a drug store and they accidentally put $1.99 mylar tag on the shelf for a $9.99 product... the policy says they have to honor it because the consumer estimated the product cost in their head. I don't know how AM does it but many ecommerce sites have seen errors and they have honored them. Examples include: Amazon.com, bestbuy.com, and the list goes on because this crap happens frequently on a large and small scale.

I'm not mad at all and like I said I understand it from a point of view that this would lose them a bunch of money. I mentioned in another thread that we've had car prices posted incorrectly, but this is different since there is a sale being finalized at this price online versus paperwork where it will clearly show the price before you confirm.

Either way... I wants to see hot babes, now I need to search hard to get some other item from AM for this calendar. Maybe I'll get chrome door handles.
