Yes Gerald, Your input along with several others convinced me that the 127450 was a good choice.

Jimbo, I certainly hope so! If my mysterious engine miss doesn't come back and the stars align then I think we should hit 700hp no problem. And then we have Funday Sunday at the track this weekend (3/2) so I may even be able to make a few passes for the first time in a month!

Can you post a video of startup, idle, and some light revs?

Could you believe there is only 1 video in all of Youtube that features the 127450 cams????

Since my setup won't be running for another 2-3 months...

I'll video the dyno tuning later this week for you, Gerald.

Today I got my replacement resonators. I'm only swapping them out because the ones I have are so fat that I can't tuck them up tight enough and they scrape sometimes. The new ones are more traditional bullet shaped so I should be able to tuck them up tighter. Not looking forward to pulling the over axle pipes again.

Cams will be here tomorrow so tomorrow night I'll install them.

I forgot if I mentioned it or not but my new wheel showed up Saturday and I got the tire swapped over. I need to get it aligned this week as well.

What kind of resonator's did you buy ? After my JBA LT + JBA catted H was installed.... the drone was bad @ 2 krpm. It was also way too loud !
The cheap + dirty 'fix' was to weld in a pair of SS Pypes M-80's.
(after the H..and just b4 the axle ). Problem solved.
They are 4" OD. You can get em in either 2.5"ends..or 3" ends.

I think magnaflow makes an identical dimensioned resonator.

Jimbo, I ordered Vibrant resonators. 1792 I believe. Amazon described them as 20" long but they were only 12" total length (about 8" of actual resonator). Pissed me right the fuck off! I found out by going to Summit that I need the 1793 resonators which are 18" long. Just ordered them from Summit since they actually have good info on their website.

I recently installed a pair of magnaflow bullets. The longest ones I could find in a 3". They made quite a bit of difference. My car is reasonably quiet now considering it has 2" headers and 3" exhaust and makes a few HP.

Looks good, Sam. That's what I'm looking for, not some little short baby thing that sounds like a Harley running straight pipes.

Got my cams this afternoon. Started about 4:15 and fired the car up about 6:30. I only used the stupid spring tool on one valve spring. Car runs good but a bit lean. I only ran it about 4-5 minutes. Will run it down the road tomorrow to the alignment shop.

On Friday VMP is having a private rental at Orlando Speed World. He will have his mobile dyno there working on his wife's car getting the new transmission dialed in. He said I could come join them in the afternoon and he would tune my car, then I could get in a couple passes and he would datalog it. I'm gonna go rub elbows with the high rollers! :snoopy

Hey, anybody want to guess what kind of numbers I'll pull on the dyno on Friday? I think we may possibly see the north side of 700 on the race gas tune. And that's pretty frigging amazing considering that my build is fairly basic other than my heads. I have an off-the-shelf short block and a smaller blower than most here. I've been really impressed with how well the combo works.

Like I've said you've got the biggest bang for the buck of any build I've seen around here!:thumb: I'll say 702 hp/650 tq. Good luck. Sounds like a fun day coming up.

I staggered the m80 resonators for better drone prevention.

Brain, I have my fingers crossed for north of 700. All I know for sure is with your VMP and manual you are going to make more than my Vortech and auto! lol

BTW what does the winner get?

I hadn't thought that far ahead, but I'll come up with something.

I think several of you are shooting low. Remember the 643/619 was on the 93 octane tune, not the race gas tune.
