Engine rebuild or swap?

About that compression ratio. These engines love compression, my first engine I built with -17cc pistons because that was the way you went with a power adder in the past. Lower compression and lots of boost. With my second engine, I wont get into the reason for a second engine, I went back to stock -6cc 9.8 compression pistons and I like this combination much better. Before you make your final choices you really should talk to someone with experience building these engines for FI, like the guys at L&M and get their recommendation. There are guys on here running flattop pistons and 28 pounds of boost.

I'm on the same boat on my build. I have a turbo 3v and I want more. It's either build my 3v, upgrade the turbo, fuel system, etc and be done with it, or a gt500 5.4 4v swap with the magnum xl 6spd with twins.

Yeah it's a difficult decision to make. Every time I gave modified my car. I plan to do it only once. Even if it cost to have a setup for than I need. I would rather over due something than have to do it twice cause I didn't enough the first time.
