I want to repaint the 2013 "Mystichrome"

Why? Like why do it. I love it on new edges but it looks strange on s197 models imo

Mystichrome is very cool but repainting the car in it will be $$$$, ive heard just a quart of that stuff cost as much as standard paint for the entire car and the application process is very tedius.

I wouldn't do it. It's (from what I understand) a pretty difficult paint to do, and for it to look right. I'd also think that it would hurt the value of the '13. As a buyer, my first question would be why was it painted?

Now, with all that out of the way, it would certainly be unique.

I've been thinking about doing something different and I've always loved this color.

I've got a BASF connection that would allow me to get the paint at a reduced cost along with the skill of our bodyshop I know they can do it. I know it's not a process for the faint of heart. The most difficult thing to do would be matching the paint if one of the panels happened to get damaged.

Yes it's not easy to do (properly) and as far as the value of my car I understand what it would do to it and that's really not a concern to me.

Since you said "talk you out of it"....please don't. I put those paint jobs in the same category as neon and blinkey led exterior/interior accent lighting. It's just ricey, cheeeeeeezy and has been around so long it's worn out its welcome . Please don't do this to the GT500. That car is bad ass as it sits. BLACK!

IMO, the colorshift of the 04 Mystic is much better than the 96.

Me either. I'm 100% on changing the color of the car sooner or later. I've narrowed it to a couple colors but need to sit on the idea some more.

Don't paint it mystichrome. It might clash with your dog's queer outfit, and then you wouldn't be allowed to drive the head queen in the pride parade.

Or... you COULD paint it that color, and you would probably have bruising on your palms from the continuous barrage of high-fives that would ensue.

Why do dont you go black chrome wrap or a wrap instead. It can be different and if installed and taken off by a good shop there will be no paint damage, so if you ever sell it the original paint is intact.

The Chameleon dips are really catching on... I just don't want to dip this car.

I've always considered wrapping but every time I take a look at high-dollar wraps on Lamborghini's, Ferrari's, or anything else for that matter... I'm really critical about looking at the corners where they wrap around the edges of panels and it always just looks horrid... I'm just afraid of that.

Side note, I never looked up a color changing wrap. Other color I would consider for a wrap is a matte pearl white or metallic matte gray.
