Is anyone on here running a digital display from AiM Sports on their 2011+ Mustang/BOSS? If so would you be able to post how you hooked it up and anything additional you needed to buy to get it to work? I plan on running one on my car with the FRPP Control pack, and hooking in my speed sensor and Fuel level also. Any info/pics you can share about the install would be great!

controls pack system has a can plug on it .. just call aim and order the plug... or just wire it in direct can + can - hot and ground and your working.... aim also now makes a system to tap your stock fuel tank level sender to get fuel out of a stock tank.... You should be able to get speed through the gps option which I recommend......

+1

I just spliced into the CAN+/- leads on the back of the OBDII plug.
Then just additional sensors for oil temp and pressure.
GPS is a must.

I don't have a fuel level due to lack of sensors described above.

Great! thanks for the info guys. I didn't even think about GPS/Speed, that makes things much easier.

I was going to get the Pista. And I figured out why I couldn't find any good info, I was on "Aim sports" website, not the new "Aim technologies" site. The MXG looks really cool also, looks like a dash out of a new Ferrari.

STEVE!!! I need the AIM harness to stock harness for the FR500S!!!!!!

just splice in at the OBD 2 Port Or I can get you a plug style adapter that is like a had held tuner that plugs in except it powers the aim... easy as plugging in and instant power and access to pcm

That's what im looking for! :beerchug2: Freekn AIM wants 400 for a harness that plugs into the stock wiring harness then into the back of the AIM so all your gauge functions on the stock dash is on the AIM. Dennis at Miller also said I have to download some Ford Racing program to set it up? Have you heard of this? Here is a pic of the unit I have

I think its a MXL? I will check as soon as I get home. I have no harness for it. I had it wired to my R1 Superbike at one time.

PISTA STRADA AND PRO are all in the mxl family.... if you don't have a harness at all then yes your going to need a $400 harness from aim......you could get a base strada harness for a lot less and make your own channels but it's a huge pain in the ass.... They all come with a harness I assumed you least had the standard harness.......... if your on a budget them get a strada harness... it has no channels on it but has a can - to power it up and least get you going. keep in mind with just a can connection your only getting what the pcm is getting .....

I looked at mine this weekend. It doesn't say what style it is besides MXL. I will have to get in touch with AIM and give them the SN# and find out.
