My stockers are about to drive me crazy because the bushings are worn and squeak really bad, looking for some aftermarket ones so I can hook up better as well as get rid of that annoying noise. Thanks guys!

We have a few different options depending on your goals for the car. We make everything in house in PA out of U.S. steel.

UMI "Budget" Control arms #PN 1034: http://umiperformance.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12_130&products_id=814

And a link to the S197 control arm offerings: http://umiperformance.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=12_130

If you'd like to give me a call and talk about what your goals are for the car (street, strip, autox, etc.), I would be glad to help!

OP, as you have likely noticed, there are quite a few options for you.

My recommendation is simply go with a quality set, made in the US, by a company who stands behind their components. If it becomes overwhelming, give a few companies a call and ask why they are the best choice.

Good luck in your search, and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about our (BMR) Products.

Surely you can afford a set of these.
Brand new BMR's, direct from BMR...for <$90 smackers.

As always Chris, thanks for the recommendation of our suspension products. It's highly appreciated my friend.

For lower control arms, no. Adjustable control arms would be used if you wanted to extend your wheelbase to fit a big sticky tire for drag racing, or to fine tune thrust angle.

If you lower it, it's a good idea to use a relocation bracket to bring the angle of the control arm back to where Ford intended it before lowering. This helps alleviate wheel hop and provides more forward traction.

Thank you guys! I'll definitely look into these, if I plan on lowering in the future will that matter which ones I get?

All of the available non-adjustable LCA, that retain the OEM Bolt Center of approximately 18.5" should work just fine with the "average" drop from lowering springs.

Once the drop goes beyond the 2" range...I typically recommend installing a quality set of adjustable LCA to ensure the wheelbase and thrust angle is not compromised much.

So - if you are dropping the car in anything less than 2" - most of the solid/fixed length LCA on the market should work just fine.

A set of LCA Relocation brackets would be a good choice, though.

The adjustable lca mounts are going to have a price drop august 1st (tomorrow). BMR also offers s197forum members discount and has excellent customer support. Have ZERO complaints about any of their products nor have any of my customers had any problems with their stuff.

My car litterally has every BMR part they sell minus sub-frame connectors and anti-squat. I am about to install the anti-squat soon too..

Good deal. Keep in mind that if/when the bushings wear out then BMR can send you replacements. Just talk to Kelly.

This was a good post for me. I need a new set of LCA and going to look at each of these!

Evolution Performance Lower Control arms....$150.00

Super stong 1-1/4" x .120" wall tubing with poly bushings - will not deflect like stock arms. Direct replacement, uses factory hardware.
