Put them back in or leave them out?? Turn them off in the tune & get a good dyno tune.
I have been told blower cars sometimes cause them to activate with the noise!!

Absolutely run them. Only reason not to is if it's pure race car, only sees WOT. Even then, don't see why not. Tuner can adjust the sensitivity of the knock sensors in the tune if it's got false knock readings. Better to knock and pull spark than to knock and have a piston deep-fried.

I've always left them on. Never had an issue. Keeping the fail safes on helps to keep the motor alive imo. I'd rather have the sensors take timing out a little early than to have catastrophic failure.

I cannot think of a good reason to pull them unless you enjoy grenading your engines.

Knock sensor

Removed when blower went on,turned off in tune.I never had a problem.
Maybe my two step would cause them to activate?
My tuner said many blowers will activate them as they are sensitive & mistake for detonation.

For any serious bracket racer they can wreak havok on a car's consistency. Even the slightest change in engine timing during a race will cause the car to not run what it's dialed in at. Especially Roots/TVS/twin screw blowers that bolt to the engine..they can introduce noise that the knock sensors pick up in the higher rpms.

In a daily driver I would absolutely leave them on...I have mine hooked up but turned off in my tune when I'm running E85, but during the winter when the car goes back to 93 gas they get turned back on since I'm not racing it.

I wouldn't want to remove them all together. You could have different tunes that take away some or all of there authority if they give you false readings.
