Nice man cant wait to see some numbers.

Me too!!, will do probably in a couple of weeks.

Congrats on a uneventful startup.

Thanks.

Nice. What's the baseline tune running? I'm thinking that you have it broken in by now on the dyno, lol.

No dyno for now, just some old street break in, rings aren't SS so no much worries, once I solve the steering reservoir and all seems good will get it on the dyno and test and tune, idea is to go from stock injectors, CAI and TB to coyote's, '10 Airaid and FRPP 62mm, and test while doing it so.

What trans?

Rockland Standard Gear's magnum T56 S197 version.

I have a T56 in my var with the Swarr shifter / adapter. I had to cut part of the trans tunnel and put flashing over the hole. I also put spacers under the plate that the air bag control box bolts to to prevent binding with the shifter. Works great and I get a viper spec t56.

I don't believe I had seen this posted but what is the purpose of using coyote/road runner internals here? Is it just a relatively cheap way to get some more displacement?

Since it's my fault I can relate some of the reasoning. Cost is a big consideration. A builder will be able to make a 302 cubic inch 3v with a larger bore which should help the head flow efficiency. Parts are very reasonable. What isn't reasonable are the machining costs to get the crank to work. Lito had someone who owed him some machine time so the cost was already budgeted.

Hopefully this combo will make a high revving na motor that would be ideal for a 3v budget build that could even use left over coyote parts. It should be capable 370+rhwp while staying na and having a decent mpg. High compression is easily obtainable due to the domed coyote pistons that are available.

Now I expect lito to come in and correct me.

Looks like a standard T-56 to me as far as the shifter goes. Is it different??

Between the release of the Magnum T56 and the XL model for our cars passed quite some time, so RSG did their own XL version, this is it. It has more gearing options, you can order it with an aluminum bellhousing and there some other differences, I tested the XL and this one shifts even better.

There are still a couple of things I need to solve though.

What Bruce said basically, in some way it was a way of testing the naysayers (which can still be right as it hasn't been proven yet), the measures showed that it could be done so we went for it, if it shines, great, if it breaks, we will find out.

Car has 60miles now, no issues at all. Current fuel is quite old (3-4 months and not properly sealed) so it has very low timing in it, had a few 6.5k excursions and it really comes alive up there, no noises, or weird stuff in oil/coolant, no vapors from the catch can, VR-1 smell is there while hot but no oil at all.

Transmission is impressive, gearing is awkward as rear is 3.73 only so 2.29 1st will take you to 60mph, lol. Wont decide on rear gear until I see where the power peaks. But shifts like my fiesta but very precise.

Need to redo the shifter properly, a cover for the bellhousing and solving the reservoir issue to finish it up.

This is awesome, Lito please start tuning the yotes. As active as you are with tuning cars and mechanical projects that are publicly posted, you do a shit ton of research and development balls out for us to scrutinize. I like a tuner that can do more than just tune, or a mechanic that can do more than turn wrenches. You fit the bill.

I wish he would as well so he could tune my F150 5.0. He won't though because his country won't allow any newer Ford cars to be imported and if he can't have hands on experience with a car to try stuff part by part then he won't do it.

He really is a great tuner and friend, just stuck in a beautiful country with a horrible government.

Too bad he doesn't just move to the US!

Haha...Believe me, I've had a few conversations about it with him and he would love to move but he has personal reasons that he can't move for a few years.
