Just opened up my box 'o' parts. Am I missing the instructions or are they posted online somewhere? The pieces look awesome but it seems like ages since I installed the original and would prefer having a step by step guide rather than just trying to figure it out.

As stated Brian the bench install vid is in the first post. They're supposed to have an in-car install vid on the website by next week

All you need is the bench install. The shifter selector linkage and the shifter box are all one unit. Bolt it up like in the bench video, put the shifter portion on the shifter box, bolt it down with 4 bolts provided, put boot back on(good luck here) put console on, shifter ball and drive it like you stole it!!!

It all aligns itself unlike the Blowjob bracket where you have to kill 9 cats, run around the house 5-1/2 times naked singing the Russian National Anthem in German hoping it all aligns properly.

I drove the car yesterday for about 100 miles, first time in a week. I'm so disappointed in the MT-82 that I really don't enjoy driving the car. When I swap shifters I'm also going to swap fluid and hopefully reduce the clunking.

The quality control on these mt82s must have been non existent cause I find it crazy that people like skwerl have such a hard time driving these things cause of the tyranny and people like myself have never had one seconds problem with it. The only thing that ever game me fits was the skip shift when I first bought it in 2010.

X2, I was scared to buy a manual 5.0 because of all the negativity I read about the mt82, but honestly outside of the slight gear clash when cold (with just about any manual) mines been great. According to oasis it has had the revised fluid put in though so maybe that helps a lot.

Step one: Remove old shifter
Step two: Insert new shifter
Step three: ???
Step four: PROFIT!

Can't see videos from work, but:
http://www.mgwltd.com/2011-short_throw_shifter-instructional_videos.shtml

and Darren's first post has the Race Spec Install IIRC.
The link is to the Gen2 videos. AFAIK Darren's post has the first link to a Gen3 video.

It all aligns itself unlike the Blowjob bracket where you have to kill 9 cats, run around the house 5-1/2 times naked singing the Russian National Anthem in German hoping it all aligns properly.
Aside from the interference issue I noted between the bracket and heat/sound shield, I had no trouble aligning things.

LOL You know all we will get is the car rolling around the garage with him making engine noises. :poke:

Yes, but if you watch the Gen3 video Darren posted, they mentioned the rest of the install is just like the previous generations.
