Are these a decent upgrade?

I'm on a budget, and I think I have a busted Passenger strut.
I will be adding BMR springs, LCA's,Relo's and GT500 mounts. while I'm at it.
Everyday driver, a few trips to the drags a year, and lots of spirited driving.(by that, I mean more of an all around better handling car)
Edit**
I will be adding the Strange struts and shocks(I know they are a good upgrade after more research) more than likely, when funds allow.
Disregard post I f necessary. I have owned many mustangs, but I'm a noob to suspension setups. that's
the reason I asked for help in the first place. This is the first Mustang I have modified the suspension.
Thanks

I looked up their part number and it shows that it is for rear shocks only. Sold as a pair. I don't think that page you linked from summit is for both front struts and shocks. That part number 555-8407 is for the canadian version http://www.steeda.ca/ford-mustang-parts/05-09-mustang/suspension-chassis-steering/05-09-gt/555-8407/
The correct part number for shocks and struts is 555-8405. http://www.steeda.com/steeda-pro-action-mustang-shocks-and-struts-555-8405/

If it is for both front and rear then yes they are a good deal and should serve you well for what you want to do with them. I would call summit and ask.

I literally just bought these struts a couple days ago. Going on the same time as my front H&R race springs so overall it should be a huge difference.

I'll report back once they're on. I talked to a steeda rep about these and he said they're a solid upgrade

You don't set up a drag car and a handling car the same.

Drag shocks don't belong on handling cars, just as drag radials don't belong on handling cars.

"Spirited driving" has different meanings for different people.

You are asking your car to go too many directions IMO.

Lol.
I said daily driver first.
second. Occasionally I go to the drag. s.
Third.spirted driving, means on a daily basis.

FYI. I'm not trying to build a full out drag car. Never said that.
Also been thinking about getting into some road course events as well.

Doug, if I were you, and trying to stay on a budget, I'd search the other forums for some lightly used aftermarket parts. I have gotten almost my entire suspension set up like that, and it works great (at least for my taste and skill level. Right now, I don't need a set of $4,000 coil overs). SVTP has a good classified section.

Or try some new take offs until you are ready to upgrade to a proper aftermarket set up. http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustang-16.aspx

Thanks Chip!
I picked up a set of GT500 strut mounts, would the 11-14 struts bolt up to those.

I know these are the older Steeda's, but would they work ok with my other parts I'm adding? A decent upgrade, or should I save my money, and go after the Koni Str.ts?
Thanks.

I'd say save your money and go with the STR's. Great all around shock that should fit your requirements. You might also ask BMR for suggestions based on the springs you will be purchasing.

Sorry, should have made myself more clear.
I already purchased BMR springs, Lca's, Relos, And GT500 strut mounts.
I'm buying one piece at a time.and then install all at once.

OP, the valving on a drag shock is not gonna be geared towards handling. I mean adj rebound is a great feature, but the valving for that shock isn't right for handling purposes. The springs rates you want for drag racing are one thing. They are another for "spirited driving" and then even more different for something that would shine on a road course.

There are enough compromises in tuning a suspension for one thing let alone 3. I don't want you to feel unwelcomed here. Merely understand where you are at. My apologies if I came off rude. I don't apologize for removing 1/4 mile related goals from this sub-section.
