Lol at the car salesman references. That was funny AJ, but you should've said lawyer! My dad and my uncles have been in the car business most of my life. Snarky references used to piss me off to high hades! I finally got over it. Car business is like any other business... You got your good guys and your a-holes.

Haha, definitely. I grew up in the car business. My dad was a car salesman when I was a child, and went back to it when I was close to graduating high school, and my uncle owns the Ford/Lincoln dealership in my home town. I wouldn't make remarks about lawyers, I was almost going to be one!. But I guess I've been a car salesman, too. Haha.

Side note: I've been meaning to send you a PM. Look for it either tonight or tomorrow.

put a security screen door on the back door. Now I can have a screen door and not worry about the dogs tearing it up.

Side note - the left and right Twix are different?!?!?!

Worlds apart.

From the Twix website:

"The Right TWIX® Factory delights in creating a truly unmatched kind of candy experience, unlike say the cookie bar plagiarists at Left TWIX®.
Our recipe brings chocolate, cookie, and caramel together in an elaborate synthesis of time-honored processes.

...

The Left TWIX® Factory prides itself on building a truly one of a kind chocolate bar experience, as opposed to those knockoff artists at Right TWIX®.
Our process brings cookie, caramel, and chocolate together in a complex fusion of time-tested methodologies."

Finally took down Christmas lights outside.

I've had standing water in my yard for the past 3 months at least. Mostly because its been raining at least once a week and I think my fence is causing some of it to. Its really starting to annoy me.

Its amazing how fast "hey hun lets repaint the bathroom" turned into a remodel.... Lol. Previous owners did a shit paint job in here and all the paint started flaking off (which explains all the patch work.

Next steps are blowing out that little halfwall and tiling the floors.. Going to be a gametime decision on whether we're keeping that old cabinet and refinishing or simply getting a new one. Will update with progress, moving super slow as I have next to zero freetime for this project.

Kicked myself into high gear lately to get some house stuff for this year. I've been really lazy the last 8 months and haven't paid much attention to the house.

1. Tonight my GF and I went furniture shopping and found a set of dining room chairs that will work. A little more expensive than we wanted to spend, but we are tired of looking for stupid chairs.

2. Getting together all of my HOA documents to try and approve a 22x8' concrete patio in my backyard. I'm absolutely sick of walking out into mud/grass when I walk out of my basement. Because of this the stupid ass white carpet in the basement is trashed.

3. After I finish this new patio, I'll be looking into new basement carpet.

4. This spring I'm ripping out all the fubarred shrubbery and laying down some new sod.

5. I'm going to call Verizon this week and have them come and fix the landline that hasn't worked for 6 months.

6. I'll probably think of something.

^ I can definitely relate to having to finally just settle on furniture.

So I finally heard back from my builder tonight. They didn't really say what they were going to do to fix our issue, but they said it wouldn't affect the schedule. As of right now, it's projected to be March 31st.

Don't let them leave it until the punch list. I'd be tempted to go knock the wall down now so they had to fix it, but then I'm not very diplomatic when other people lie and don't do their fucking job correctly, costing me time and money.

Put up another stable door. This one acts as a half door between the kitchen and mudroom and stairs. Kind of a rustic baby gate.

Next is a full sized stable door on a rolling track between the kitchen and the dining room.

Painting my house today, getting ready to sell it. Currently building a new house. :thumb2:

Time for a french drain.

Agreed, they work great when installed properly.

Niiice. I'm trying to find a place to buy a few pieces of furniture. I usually use Havertys but they don't have what I'm looking for really.

Blew out the half wall... Probably enjoyed the demo a little too much lol. Amazing how much space is actually in the bathroom now that its wide open

Thinking about repurposing the bathroom cabinet for the garage for some extra storage and maybe a small work station... Vanity is decent size and in great shape... Anyone done this? Suggestions?

When I finished off the garage in my old house I used varying pieces of kitchen/bathroom cabinets. Worked fine except that I put all of my screw drivers/pry bars in one drawer and broke the sliders.

I hate furniture shopping with a passion... the woman called me back and said they can't move on the price. I said well alright... I guess I'll wait and hung up. Now the manager called me and left me a message. Despite my background in sales, furniture markup kills me.

Yup, they have tons of room to work. When I moved out I bought all new furniture and they really thought I would pay full price. I had to walk out to get them to give me money off but ended up getting a good deal.
