I have never been soooooo excited and amped, except for the day i drove off the lot with my mustang!!! i finally got my cherry popped in the drag racing world!! went out with a couple friends today to a private rental drag day sponsored by NVMC(Northern Virgina Mustang Club) and decided to race the car. let me tell you, i haven't been so nervous either in a looong time. i didn't get hardly a wink of sleep last night as well.

i am so glad i went, though. my first pass was a wreck, with me missing 3rd gear. but i went right back in the staging lane and tried again........2nd pass was much better. 14.262 at 101mph. after that, i knew i was hooked when i had my "shit-eating" grin on my face!

overall, i had 19 passes. all averaging in the high 13's and low 14's. not bad i guess for a newbie. my best:
