Cost. 305-35-20 is readily available and I already bought my Cooper RS3-S setup. It would put me over $1k for a street tire. Not desirable.

What width wheel you putting that 305 on?

Never used a spare in over 55 years of driving and I'm not about to start now.
A premium AAA membership will get you towed up to 100 miles.
The only thing the inflator kit will take care of is a nail puncture, and then it leaves a real mess when take the tire off the rim. I have one in my TrakPak but will never use it for that reason.

RIP - You will be missed
As long as I am physically capable of changing a tire I just can't imagine choosing to be towed somewhere so somebody else could do it. Should I become physically incapable of changing my own tire I might have to review that policy (and possibly review the notion of still driving), BUT NOT UNTL THEN.

Out of curiosity, how did you manage before there was such a thing as a cell phone?

Except can change a tire in all of 10 minutes rather than potentially waiting hours for a tow truck
