Ive been trying to determine wether or not I need a set or not?

My car is an 05 with 50k miles on it and im sure mine haven't wore out but I guess in all honesty its still a major increase over stock. My main concern is I installed long tube headers and at times when im turning in or getting on it hard the motor I assume is twisting up a tad and casuing my headers to come up against the car frame on the passenger side and causing a vibration and rattle. Normal driving its fine I only hear it occasionally. But ive been wondering if I should purchase a set to see if this may help the situation im having.

Any input would be appreciated and if you want to give a set away I think I need them.

Stiffer mounts will definitely help keep the motor still under load. Some of you may experience the dreaded third gear lock out which is basically due to the motor and trans twisting when at WOT.

You guys are missing the spirit of the giveaway. I'm looking for the person who needs them the most. For example; My dog recently died and after the vet bills and funeral costs I can't afford to fix up the car which is the only thing that keeps me from thinking about my loss. Something along those lines. But no made up shit, that would just ruin the spirit.

Put it this way, last time I gave away a CAI (airaid/roush) I ended up picking a broke starving college student.

I could definitely use these, I can feel my engine starting to shift when I release the throttle at high speeds. But I'm not starving, in collage or broke. What I will propose is covering shipping and since it seems your not in it for money I will make a donation to the charity of your choice.

It's on the recommended list of parts needed to complete my GT450 build but can't afford them because I just spent $3600 getting my license back and now rent is due?

Like I mentioned Its something I need....will I purchase them....probably not....why...well im way blessed beyond many others I see and know. Dont have a story of my dog dying or any other major issues and really not one to let out personal issues.

Struggle??? every day but to be bad off im not....because I would sale off my mustangs and find something cheaper to drive if in a need for money or something. But as a parent of two great kids both playing sports and I have a wonderful wife. We both work every day to pay our bills provide for our kids and still sometimes lay down at night and wonder whats going to be the next thing to pop up.....were just a normal family. We make okay at our jobs for the aera we live in but some items are just not on the radar right now for me considering there are too many other things that could pop up. Hence we were blessed to go to mustang week this year as a vacation....that cost us for the week, food, gas and a place to stay....around $1500+ and we eat in almost every day to save on the food cost. (Point here a guy who is a starving college kid or another member on a run of bad luck couldn't have made that trip) at any rate we as a family had a great time and the kids were happy so to me it was a success. ....now when we arrived home....our heat pump was tore up,...ended up being low on freon....our hot water wasnt working....I made a call to a friend..he guided me on how to change the elements in them..cause truly I didn't think I could afford two service calls right after vacation. ..well I tackled it and I fixed it......was super proud of myself as I had never attempted anything like it before. Now a month later I woke up to a leak in the basement and again was in a position to call a plumer but decided again to see what I could do because we were uncertain what the cost would be. Trip to Lowe's and a few hours in the basement was able to fix that issue too for only about $15 in supplies....

I have to save where I can and do what I can myself to make things work...but all in all I am blessed. ..but if u wanted to give them away I could use them. And no one would appreciate it more....want make a huge deal of it but I will always be thankful.

Either way its an awesome feeling helping someone out....ive done the same over the years as I have a ton odd and ends for a Foxbody mustangs and I have young guys come over now looking for things... (I remember being them one time) and nothing makes me feel better than to let them take something with them they need for free or maybe a couple dollars.....

Nice way to pay it forward! You're a heck of a nice guy!

I'm sure there's plenty of people needier than me, I'm sure. If anything, I need help with my Mustang addiction! LOL

I'm curious if you think the Prothane mounts will solve the difficult shifting issues I have with the Hurst only when it's really hot. Some say mounts, some say MGW and some say torque limiters.

Thanks. I think anything to hold the motor and trans still, along with a good shifter will help with that 2nd to 3rd shift. But what do I know, I drive an auto.

LOL. I thought about an auto for drag, but I have to let Andrew have some say in the car and build. I swear my shoulder gets sore from a long day of driving the stick.

Well, I guess I'll start off by saying I could really use these. I track my car on a weekly basis and could use the added support to my driveline.

Now, here comes the sob story: A few months ago I got into some trouble with the law (don't really want to go into detail lol) However, after everything was said and done, I'm $3500 in the hole and they took my driver's license until the end of next month.

So, I'm stuck at home, broke and really wishing I had some new parts to add to my car. All my money is going towards my court and lawyer fees and my 3 year old son's ninja turtle obsession lol.

After careful consideration I've decided to give Grubb the motor mounts. There were a few of you that I would have had no issues in giving them to you. But in the end I think I made a decision that no one will really have an argument with.

Grubb will post up proof of a $60 donation to the Folds of Honor organization and I will cover the shipping to him. For those of you unfamiliar with this group, they help support the families of fallen and disabled vets with tuition for the kids and stuff. Anyways, just thought this would be a win win. Grubb, if you can, make the donation under the name of the S197forum.com, that would be cool.
