^ IMO the gray interior holds up much better than the tan. Granted my experience is based on vehicles made 15 years ago. When I was shopping for my current truck I had seen plenty of tan interior trucks and they all looked like shit after 3-4 years. Every. Single. One. My gray interior Lariat is an '02 with 170K miles and I'm finally ready to have the driver's seat reupholstered. The seam under my ass finally gave way from sweat about a year ago but the passenger seat still looks good.

I think that is the ultimate oxymoron. If someone is a pro, they don't need help backing up a trailer. Just sayin.:whistle1::roflsquared:

Perhaps, but I think the "Pro" is the computer in the truck. I hate that I will probably end up using the feature and not being able to give myself credit, but I trailer to many dealerships. With all the tight lots I am looking forward to using this feature immensely.

Lol

From what I've seen in the leather quality in the Lariats... it has gone down hill from the 2014 model.

My first truck (94 b4000) was brown, 2nd (95 ranger) was gray, the stang & legacy are black. I prefer the look of black, and the hiding of stains. A light gray cloth interior, plus winter weather they get gross fast. A black leather on the other hand quick wipe down and good as new. Similar with carpet even the good floor liners stuff gets around on to carpet and black hides better than light colors

Oh, don't get me wrong, I would use it too (if I decided to pay for it). And I am a "Pro". I drove tow trucks in my early 20's. And then spent 10yrs hauling trailers to the race track. It probably doesn't sound like much, but the pits are generally TIGHT! Backing 24-36' trailers into spots 12' wide at an angle because there is never enough room to go straight in......with people walking all over the place was sometimes more nerve wracking than the racing!:helpme:

Dammit

My DS half door/rear door "broke". When I pull the handle it releases the pin at the top but not the bottom. What a PITA. I somehow need to get in a door I can't get open, LOL. And it's cold and snowy out so a prolonged investigation isn't at the top of my list of things to do.

sigh

Cable broke. Happened in my 2002 extended cab and my mechanic was able to remove the inside door panel and get to it with the door shut (don't ask me how). He replaced that cable and 6 months later the passenger side broke. I'll get that one fixed one day.

Cam, that truck looks really sharp. What exactly is included with that package?

I just can't do Grey Interiors. I have been bouncing around in trucks for 25 years or so growing up and whenever I see a grey a interior, I just think of cheap and work since as you know there is no cheaper interior than that of a truck. That being said, I have a grey cloth seats in Mitsubishi's that look like crap because it is the quality of the fabric that Mitsubishi uses. I have a Grey vinyl Mitsubishi bench seat that had 190-200K miles on it that looked 20 times worse than the Grey Vinyl that is in our 150k mile E-Series van and I have seats in our 18 year old Mack that look better than the seats in our 3 year old Freightliner.

Those are what the Sport's should look like IMO, kind of the way the FX2 & FX4 used to look like.

If they had a FX4 package that looked like the 12-13' MY trucks I would be seriously tempted to get one. Temped.

I really need to keep my current truck for another 127yrs.:helpme:

I figured it would be something like that. I'll mess with it April. That door speaker is smoked too. May as well fix that.

I keep meaning to find the time to pull the seats/carpet/center console and Dynamat everything. I've got 4 free boxes of the stuff and it works great. Maybe this spring...............................................who am I kidding!!!:whistle1:

Only difference I see (outside) is the red outline on the letters, and the wheels. Pretty much the same as the 2015 sport's other than that.

Anything else different on them Cam?

Looking at the Ford builder, it is mostly accents that are changed/added.

Pretty much all that plus a different interior (seats and seat belts). The XLT is different than the Lariat.

XLT - Cloth

Lariat - Leather with suede, and stitched dash/console + then some

Personally, I'm not a fan just because I don't like the black/red theme. I did like the previous sport appearance package though. The XLT is more settle on the exterior compared to the Lariat. Biggest difference is the red inserts on the grille, and the body stripe.

I didn't think the Sports came with the black headlight housings which I think was my favorite thing about the FX trucks.

Is the grey used on the Lariat an actual color that they have now? I don't recall seeing it before.

For the Headlights, there was a shop that has LED Retrofits with the "blacked out" option. I was going to put those in, but I see what you mean about the lights. Plus those retrofits are about $1,000, and IIRC it comes with the harness needed. The Ford builder looked like it color matched and tinted the headlights, not "blacked them out."

I would spring for a Lariat Limited Sport Edition for those seats. I've never been a fan of that side stripe though.

That outside shot of the Lariat looks like the Magnetic color, same as mine.

They had a hold on the Lariat, but I have one at the plant. I could be wrong but this might be a customer order because I dont order loaded crew cab F-150's without the 36-gal tank or 3.55 gears.

Lithium Gray Crew Cab
145" Wheelbase
3.5L EcoBoost
3.31 Gears
Twin Panel Moonroof
Trailer Tow
FX4
Integrated Trailer Brake
Technology Package
Lariat Sport Appearance + Lariat Special Edition Packages
Spray-In

MSRP: $60,975
A-Plan: $54,135.07

Cam, do you know if it is possible to have a dealer swap in the 36 gal tank on the newer ones? I read a guide for a DIY project for the 11 and 12s, but they still had to get the dealer to re-program the computer.

Cam, Im curious, why is there such aversion by dealers to keep standard cab short bed F150"s on their lots, my local dealer seldom has one and if they do its spec'd as a basic work or service truck?
It would be great to see a few 2 door, short bed sport trucks offered by Ford, cause not everyone needs a extended cab or 4 door, matter of fact for me they don't work at all.
Like I said , just curious
