Mark , that is going to be one hell of a ride. Greg is awesome , I got to meet him when I lived in Cali when He 1st got started . He knows his S&*^. I might have missed a previous post somewhere , but is that motor a 323 , and are the collectors 3" or 4" .
Are you going to tune the car with a Big Stuff or stick to the factory ECU.

I hope you had a radiator in the car for mock-up, so far it looks completely badass!

Thanks Pete...:beerchug2: Greg is even more excited about this car than I am...lol

It's right around 330 ci and the collectors are 3" that transiton to a 4" after the V bands.

We're going to run a number on the factory computer. We already know after 1000, it's going to get sketchy, so the plan is to get as close as we can to 1200 rwhp before the computer starts leaning it out. After I play around with it for the rest of the season, a F.A.S.T. is going in there for sure. If it wasn't for the 'stock computer' rules of the shootouts, I'd have a FAST in there already...lol

The racing bug has hit me hard and for the first time, I actually know exactly what I want to do with the car...lol Plans are already in the works, and I'm just waiting till this motor takes a crap, if I'm honest. The short block was pretty stout on my old set-up, but it is definitely the weak link on my car now. I am going to enjoy it for as long as I can but when it takes a crap, I have already committed to EDR next year. (Extreme Drag Radial)

The plan is to go with a small block 440 with twin 88mm...:thud:

I think I can own the class with this set-up....

I'm just dying to get into head's up racing...:hi:

Nice , I figured you were talking about PSCA. when I was living out there I was setting up my 2v to run in that sanction with a Turbo , the guy I sold my motor to made 738 rwhp on a 2v @ 18 psi's 3 years ago , the only thing is he road races, so I never got to see what that motor would have done.
If your going eventually into a pushrod motor then a FAST will definately be a good choice, if you were staying with COP on a mod motor then the Big Stuff is the better choice easier to set up.

Good luck with the build Im keeping tuned to this one.

Thanks.:beerchug2:

I agree about the mod motor but I want the cubes for twin 88's and think a pushrod is the way to go.

LOOOOOOOL!!!

Over in the Off Topic forum at mustangforums there was a thread about this vette in Florida who had diesel stacks coming up the rear of the car. I don't know if he actually had a diesel engine in there, but it looked funny as hell.

So CK, it's looking like to me you're starting to move away from this car being street drivable like in the past? If not, DAMN! :worship:

Oh and you may have a problem with passing smog with those stacks. LOL! ;)

It is going to see far less of the street than it ever has, there is no denying that, but it is going to be streetable for sure...:thumb:

Good to see you over here too - haven't talked to you in awhile...:beerchug2:

lol...why is that? For the most part it's a good forum. There's forums for all years of mustangs and I've learned a great deal on there. The moderation can be annoying at times though. But for the most part I like it.

Come on Don - that place is the first stop for a lot of new enthusiasts...:beerchug2:

Can't we just get along with new members?:beerchug2:

Besides, doesn't this say enough...

And it was already a POS when we all left there 4 years ago, too... remember?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as far as I'm concerned, that forum is the worst of the worst.

All I'm saying is that the vast majority of new owners type the words 'mustang forums' in google when they first start looking for a place to go and that is the first place that comes up so it is the starting part for a lot of people (including most of us)

You know where I stand as well, but I'm just saying that just due to logistics, a lot of our new members are going to come from there and maybe we can be a just a little more 'delicate' in welcoming them, no?

For gods sake, if Hawg and Wheeler aren't going to scare newbies off... we need balance man!....lol:LMAO:

All I'm saying...:beerchug2:

I have heard that forum was a mess a long time ago. But I joined in 2007 and it's been ok to me since that time. The bad things I heard that happened in the early days of the forum didn't seem like went on anymore.

Off Topic over there is one strange ass place though. If anything that part of the forum is a waste of bandwidth. :)

BTW Don, how the hell do you have > 12 million posts. LOL! You are the king of forums. ;)
