Ok so I have 2007gt with the r2300 stage one supercharger kit from roush. I bought it used and realize it doesn't have a oil separator. It's my daily driver and want it to last and no matter what I google I can't find which one I need as far as passenger or driver side? good brand? Thanks for the help and apologies for the noob question

On your 3V 2007, it goes on the DRIVER'S side. (all 05-10 cars). I use a JLT with my roush M90 on my 2010, but several other brands out there, like bob's autosports, etc.

American muscle sells several brands. http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustang-oil-separators-0509.html

What comes out of the catch can looks like a chocolate milkshake..with the can almost full every few months. (mixture of oil, unburnt fuel, condensation, etc). Once I switched to 100% synthetic engine oil, the amount collected in the catch can was reduced by a bunch, and looks like eng oil, not a choc shake.
At the same time I switched to 100% synthetic, I also started using FRPP oil filters. They are 50% heavier than oem, and contain 60% more filter media inside, and use high temp silicone rubber seals, handle high temps and high pressure.

Oem Ford oil is semi-synthetic..which is just 2-5% synthetic, and 95-98% dino oil..it's junk. I use 5W-30 since I have a blower. If NA, 5W-20 is just fine...but either way, use some real 100% synthetic, like mobil-1, etc.

Without a catch can, you will end up with oil all over the elbow of the blower, all over the rotor pack, Inter-cooler, and also collects one helluva mess inside the Roush aluminum intake manifold. It will also lower the octane rating of the gasoline a bit.

Can't go wrong with either UPR's 4 chamber catch can or Bob's oil separator :waytogo:
Why do jlt suck? Why I tried to fine UPR catch can but couldn't find any for the 05-09 models. I could be retarded and suck at googling but I could only find it for 11+ models

You can mount the UPR 4 chamber can for an 11-14 GT on a 05-09 model with no problem.. You just simply bolt it on your strut tower mount, located on your driver's side.. You can also mount it on your firewall as well..

Just call UPR and tell them you want the 4 chamber can for your 05-09 Mustang and they will build one for you that will fit..

As for the JLT ? they suck because they do not include a filter media mesh nor SS filter ring for preventing crankcase vapor oil from getting past the PCV barb connector into the intake manifold..

I started out with the JLT separator and eventually upgraded to the Bob's autosports oil separator for those reasons and have been satisfied ever since..

Anyhow here's the link for the UPR 4 chamber catch can..
