Looks fabulous Keith! Did you go with the 3P or 3H Digital Control System?

Thanks. I got the 3P and it works great. I'm just always worried that I will blow a line going down the road and bad stuff will happen.

Great looking car, Jet! Nicely done.

Thanks

Thanks bro & yes stock internals. Have been spraying it for over 2 years now. Next summer I'll build the bottom end. Hopefully she continue to last until then. Btw my signature was when I dynoed it in a 125 shot. It's been on a 100 shot. It actually makes 451 rwhp & 510 torque. Just never changed my signature since I lowered the jets. Your car is nice also btw man.

Thanks

I've always liked Sonic Blue over Vista Blue, DIB and even over my Torch Red.. Only reason I went with TR, was it's my wife's favorite color lol.

I also noticed in your Sig that you have Roush extreme axle backs and wanted to ask if you experience any drone with them ? As I'm actually considering them along with Borla stingers as my top choices, however I also don't want to put up with annoying cabin drone like I have with Magnaflow streets..

Anyhow once again, your 06 Sonic Blue is absolutely stunning :waytogo:

Edit: My mistake, from the pic you posted your 06 appeared to look as though it's Sonic Blue rather than Vista Blue.. I also forgot that 2005 was the last year for Sonic Blue..

Thanks, it's Vista Blue. I prefer the darker blue. The Roush Extreme is FREAKING LOUD. No drone but it is still louder than I thought it would be in the car. I think that if I had Dynomat in the trunk it would be alot quieter inside. It would probably be quieter with factory cats also. I love it. The only thing is that with it being so loud, everybody thinks I'm trying to race them at the red lights. They hear me and take off and I'm like "dude I'm just taking off".

Very nice profile Jet. Wish these cars would tuck the rears like they do the fronts though. And Cam, as always, fuck you...

Thanks. Yea, I wish the off set was in about a 1/4" to 1/2" in the rear so the back would tuck more.

While not a DD I have had my Air Lift Performance suspension installed since April 2014 with no issues. I guess it would be a good idea to carry a couple unions, some line and a cutter in the car. Kind of an emergency kit.

Did you run your lines through the car?

The guy I got the car from actually had it installed before I bought it. The lines to the front are ran thru a grommet in the trunk on the drivers side and under the car. When they come thru the trunk they are right over the exhaust pipe. I had to zip tie the lines over because they already got onto the exhaust and melted a tiny hole in one. I really mean tiny - pin hole. I had to bump the button every 30 seconds just to keep it up enough to get home. My compressor almost couldn't keep up.
I have the push-loc unions and some brass unions with nuts and ferrules and one length of hose to get from the trunk to the front for an emergency kit. Nothing would piss me off more than a $200 tow bill for a leaking air line.

It would be a few hours work but I recommend rerouting your lines through the car. When through the car you will likely have less than two feet of plastic line in total that is exposed to the elements in the front wheel wells.
I ran both front air lines through the cabin and wire tied them to existing wire bundles.

Underneath the rear seat I left a small loops of air line that could be pulled to the front or back if air line connections ever leak and need to be repaired. Thought this would be much easier than running a whole new airline.

If the Roush Extremes are that loud inside the car, I honestly don't know if even the factory cats would make enough of a difference or not.. IIRC the factory cats on the S197 are supposedly designed to be less restrictive and higher flowing when compared to past OEM designs..

So who really knows as to how much quieter they might be or not..

The reason I'm looking to upgrade from my Magnaflow Streets is because I want the inside of my car to be more quiet, but slightly louder from the outside..

The Magnaflow Streets IMHO just don't provide enough volume from outside of the car with stock cats, but are way too loud from inside the cabin..

Anyway I'm really glad your happy with the Roush Extremes with the exception of everyone thinking that your always trying to race them at red lights lol.

However after reading over your post, I don't think the Roush Extremes are quite what I'm really looking for.. Therefore It looks as though I'll be looking into getting Borla "S" type (stingers) instead

-Thanks

I have thought about cutting the short "resonators" out from under the car and adding something like 22" glass packs in their place to quieten it down but I like the old muscle car tone it has now. I really like it when I'm running about 70 on the interstate and I drop it down into 3rd and let it rip. To me the higher RPM's is where it sounds great.......lugging it in a higher gear sounds really good too. OK, OK, I guess I like it all. Good luck with you search for the perfect sound, I guess I found mine.

Perhaps with stock cats and mid X pipe, the Extremes won't be quite as loud as with long tubes and high-flow cats like your running.. So I'm actually re-considering the Roush Extremes along with either SLP Powerflo's that are also manufactured by Roush or Borla "S" type stingers as my top choices..

I'm also considering adding a bullet style SLP muffler or MBRP resonator under the car as a mid muffler setup in addition to which ever axle back I finally decide on and hopefully I'll have that old muscle car sound I also like without the annoying cabin drone :cheersman:

Just to clarify. Mine has no in cabin drone. It's just loud from the exhaust pipes outback. If I wanted to quiet it down I could easily add glass packs or any bullet style muffler under the car. Just some food for thought.

After reading over your last 2 posts, it appears I'm one step closer on selecting the Roush Extremes.. In the meantime, I expect to hear back from Roush tech support sometime tomorrow, as the tech rep I spoke with is supposed to find out from their engineering dept about whether or not Roush Extremes are significantly louder than SLP Powerflo axle backs.. If the SLP Powerflo's aren't quite as loud and don't drone ? I'll end up selecting them being as the Powerflo's are completely made from T-304 grade SS and also backed by a full lifetime warranty.. Otherwise I'll definitely end up going with the Roush Extremes instead..
