Finally finished up the winter mods on the car and it feels great to take possession of it again.

The winter build was:
76mm turbo
Detroit Locker
Tokico D-Spec adj. shocks/struts
HPX Extended Air Meter
6 pt. roll bar
Master Cutoff Switch
Simpson Cam-Lok Harness
Bogart Welded GT front wheels
MT front radials
Retune for 17lbs boost
3.55 gears
Narrow/respline the axles by 1/2" on either side to run the meats
Couple of other small mods

I decided to do a private rental to shake the car down and PowerHouse delivered the car to the track for me. Ron met us there so that Mike could tweak on Ron's tune in a track setting. Big props to Mike and Brett for going above and beyond. Find me a shop that will drive 2 1/2 hrs to deliver your car and then spend all day at the track helping you shake it down and I will tell you that you found a shop you can stick with and rely on.

There is a ton of work for me to do with the new setup. There is a ton of power to be had in it, but I need to work on the short game for now. The way the car loads up at the line is new to me and it kept feeling like it was going to roll through past 2800rpms. Mike stalled it to around 3000-3100rpms and significantly cut the ET down, so I need to work on that. It's been since last July that I ran the car, so I was just getting the butterflies out and trying to make a clean pass. Now at least I can start dialing in.

Here is a video and some pics from the track. Some notes:
DA was in the 3000 to 3500 range. Not a great day to run, so ET's and mph suffered.
Ron's car consistently was getting air on the launches. Wow is that car fun to watch.

Man, great runs Lance. Your suspension is dialed in, that car leaves clean. Theres a lot more in it once you dial it in. And Ron's car lifts up a lot when it comes out of the hole. And I really like the battery cut off switch, can't wait for Mike to put mine on. Both cars have a more ET on the table.

Great video, and great pics. Props to PH, nice of them to come out, and agree 100% on what you said.

Lance its looking good. Can't wait to see what ETs you'll hit dialed in with the transbrake.

I really like the sound of those bassanis on your ide. It has a great idle too. I'm wondering how your transbrake will work with the new larger 76. What was the psi on your rears? How's the wheels and tires on the big end of the track?

Thanks for the comments. It is a work in progress when you change around a bunch of stuff, but that makes it interesting.

Todd, I like the Bassani's a lot. Fairly quiet with a nice note which is what I like. As far as the Hoosiers, they performed quite well. I was setting them at 18psi the whole day. With the rear being narrowed, this is the ideal tire for me. I think I can run any setup with big power and still retain the wheel/tire combo. The chirp/chatter on the 1-2 shift Mike thinks is in the shock settings...need to dial that in. As far as the transbrake, Mike still speculates that the car has low 140's in it, so tb'ing with the 76 would be ideal with the 3.55's. Footbrake will probably suffer unless I maybe loosen the converter a few hundred rpms.

It would be nice to tickle 9's on 17psi, but we will see if the driver is up to the task. If not that's what a boost controller is for! I will find a way to see a 9 before the year is out I hope.

Wow very nice, I went on your site and looked at the build of that car, Very Impressive. Love the fact that the car still looks like a V6 and just rumbles like that, If I had just walked up to the car in street form I would think no more of it than a V6 until it fired up that is. And that yellow one, I think I saw some light under that tire on one of those runs. Reminded me of the GNX's when they would brake boost and the rear raise up and the take off just pull the fronts up and roll out.

The yellow car is one from this site, Ron (Navbtcret). His car was lifting all day long off footbrake. He runs the Edelbrock @ 13psi right now. Funny thing is that he had the 18's up front too.

Looks great! What size wheel did you use with the narrowed rear end?

Thanks. Wheels are Bogart Welded GT's 15x10 rear. Tires I am running the Hoosier DOT drag radial 325/50/15 in the back. They are item # 17318. Section width is 13.2", tread width is 11.75" and they are 27.7" diameter. So just a little shorter and wider than the comparable MT ET Street radial. I only narrowed the rear by 1/2", but the setup tucks in much better. Figured this would be something that can be grown into if I keep adding power. What's funny is that either Mike or Ron said "Where is SD when you need him" when I was trying to figure out where to stall the car to.
