Did you wire the speedo as I mentioned above and have your tuner set the OSS to 40? I have used the same wire for my 4r setup and now this one.

I had the tuner set the tune file to 40 but no way I know to confirm it. We were wiring the speedometer output to the blue yellow wire at the PCM, I forget which pin, but I moved it straight to the pigtail that plugged into the original transmission to avoid any errors

Uploading my first drive in my 05' with a 6r80 now!

I had a issue that I had to work out, the trans would hit fourth gear and feel like it went into limp mode. After logging and sending it to Manuel, we realized that since I had not uploaded the new tune with the OSS set to 40, I was hitting my speedo limit at 240 mph right at the same time the forth gear shift happened.

I still need to fine tune dome tomorrow though so I can get Manuel a WOT pull for the motor snd log the trans for TCS at the same time. Im REALLY nervous about this! I should have slowed this down some and tuned my new non stroker motor first. Oh well, here we go... Im only good with it becouse the kids car has been WOT several times now and is somewhere in the 550 rwhp range with the big ass custom 13 psi pulley on the TVS.

6r80 in my 05' first drive on the public road!

Im going to work on shift schedule some today. I have a few things I want to change from how the kids tune for mine.

Anyhow, here is a little cruise in the country.

Good job ... Is the cruise control functioning correctly with the 6R ??

With my T-56 cruise works in 3rd, 4th and 6th, doesn't function in 5th which isn't a real issue but if cruise drops out when the 6R drops gears for a downshift that'll get aggravating..

Thanks Billy, not sure if you saw my comment on your youtube video or not. I mentioned that the notification came through on the upload while I was eating breakfast with my wife. I was like hunny you have to wait a minute I need to watch this video now. Well my controller arrived today but still no transmission. I'm starting to get aggravated with that.

Looked like fun and the shifts sounded pretty good. It looks like I may have a bad lead frame hope to confirm that early this week. The controller is not getting an OSS signal from the transmission so it can't learn. Did you put the updated PA valve body and lead frame in yours?

I just put Exedy clutches and a billet intermediate shaft in mine. Everything else is Ford. What is a lead frame?

Before you repair the lead frame, contact Karl. Sometimes the Quick 6 software will throw an erroneous oss code.
Clear the code and try again.

Karl said I will probably need a lead frame if depending on the results of a couple more tests on the transmission. Check out this video on YouTube:

Probably easier than me explaining

Thanks for the reply. I didn't realize that the pilot bearing was two piece either. I pulled the pilot bearing but not the outer race and went to mate the trans and it wouldn't slip over the dowels. That is when I realized that the 2nd piece also needed to be removed.

So, trans is in, drive shaft in, shifter in and cable. The Shifter Cable is where I got stumped. I have an f150 trans and a bracket from PA. The position of the PA bracket puts way too much stress on the cable and won't let you make the connection. I ended up drilling a new hole in the bracket and moving it further back on the trans pan. The angle that the cable sits in the bracket is too sharp in my mind and in the pic you will see the zip ties. It was done this way because the little white piece wouldn't go in there at this angle. It shifts through the gears but, when I pull the gear shift to the 1st position, its somewhere between P and R, the 2nd notch on the trans relates to R on the shifter and then its 1:1 from there all the way to S. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Do I really need to get that bracket and cable higher? If so how do I fix the P-R positioning?

With the shifter bracket in this position, when you go to connect the cable, this is a natural position of the cable, so i have to almost compress it a little to get the nub to go on. Maybe this is causing the P-R issue.

So at the end of the evening we went to move the car and even with the shifter on the side of the trans in the 12 O'clock position the car was still rolling? Does it have to be started and power applied to the trans to actually engage Park?

Turbo piping def has to be remade...
