Anyone got any HP and tq numbers with CAI, exhaust and a tune? interested because it seems like everyone makes really close to 300whp with a bama tune

and where the heck do I go to get a lito tune and how much does that cost

Can you be more specific about the mods you have?

The strange part is why he had to lie about the harness.
I may have talked to him in person when I picked up the supercharger kit. I think it was him, but I really don’t remember. Anyway, at that time I was warned that Edelbrock makes crappy harnesses and they have had problems with them before. So it’s not like my phone call was out of the ordinary. My harness problems happened 18 months after I installed the kit. I would have paid for the damn thing to get my car running right. Instead, they lost a customer, and Lito gained one.
Its all about marketing hype and if Doug at Brenspeed was aware of the harness problems as he claimed? he should've provided you with a replacement harness before picking up your supercharger kit, to begin with rather than try to bullshit you with some empty promise to replace it after the fact. What also doesn't quite add up, is if Brenspeed is fully aware of the crappy harnesses Edlelbrock makes for their S/C kits, then why is it that Brenspeed continues to sell their products? once again, it's all about marketing hype profit. At any rate, before making the switch to JDM engineering, I ran a Brenspeed F/I e-mail calibration for my Saleen VI supercharged "06" GT. At the time, I was still running 4:10 gear ratio and then eventually made the switch back to my original 3:55 gears. Afterwards, I placed a tune revision order to have my gear ratio changed from 4:10 to 3:55 and also have the end user adjustability menu open in the SCT X-4 device to make gear ratio and tire size changes as needed. Needless to say, it was Doug who screwed up the tune revision order not just once, but twice as he never had the tuning dept make the correct gear ratio changes as I had requested. How I found this out was that my speedo was off by over 20 MPH compared to my GPS while also having the correct tire size/RPM setting selected in the SCT X-4 as well. It wasn't until after making the switch to JDM engineering that I discovered there were no gear ratio change revisions made to the Brenspeed tune that I had both requested and paid for nor was I able to make gear ratio changes from the end user adjustability menu in the X-4 that Doug led me to believe were open in the tune revision. That being said, those are my reasons Brenspeed lost my business as a customer and the reasons JDM engineering has earned it and continues to do so by providing proof with their actions rather than attempt to mislead their customers with nothing but a bunch of marketing hype bullshit claims to show for it.

Last week I changed the pulley on the SC. I did a datalog and sent it to Lito. I hadn’t heard from him since Thursday, which is quite unusual for him. Today, he emails me and said he was sick and apologized for not responding. I got the updated tune, but now I’m sick and don’t feel like going out.

Just keep in mind that Lito does all the tuning and customer service by himself and is often very busy with many of his other customers. Therefore if it takes him awhile before he's able to respond back to you, just know there's always a very good reason and that he will respond back as soon as possible. If only I had the ability to data log and a laptop to do it on? I would've made the switch over to Lito from Brenspeed years ago. However at the present, I've been very satisfied with my JDM tune and customer service that JimIII has always provided. That being said, you're in very good hands with Lito and have many of his customers on this site to back it up :waytogo:

I never got the hang of datalogging either. In fact I've had issues just prepping my handheld and loading tunes from an email. The updating software always seems to lock up on me.

Anyway, my off-the-shelf tunes from VMP have been awesome for me. The 93 tune for my 2014 Mustang GT was virtually perfect. I cannot remember a single instance of it misbehaving in the 5 years I ran it. I loaded the tune once and never touched it again until it was time to sell the car.

After 8 months of ownership I finally got around to getting 87 and 93 octane tunes for my F150. Just loaded the 87 tune this morning and so far so good. Acceleration on the interstate on ramps is way better than stock and I'm no longer getting throttle hesitation when I get on the throttle, back off and then hit the throttle again.

If you have lots of mods and are working on refining your track times then I can see the need for datalogging to squeeze out every last horsepower. But for someone like me running an otherwise stock vehicle, a canned tune from VMP, Lund, JDM or other top tier tuner will be more than adequate and the odds of ever needing to datalog are low.

Despite running a canned F/I tune from JDM, everything checked out just fine after having a local tuning shop verify the tune on their dyno. Just as you mentioned, unless you have lots of mods and feel the need for squeezing out every bit of horsepower as possible for track usage? then a canned tune from any of the top tier tuners you brought up will be more than adequate enough for their particular application. If in the event any adjustments/corrections are required for a canned tune but don't have the ability for data logging and suspect something in the tune just isn't right? then it's always recommended to have the tune verified on the dyno by a local tuning shop which is considered as reputable.

Without the phaser lockouts you'd be somewhere around 300-305rwhp. If they're locked in full advance you might be making ~10hp less.
If you still have the stock cams, I'd advise you to remove the phaser lockouts and allow the VCT to function as it should so you can enjoy the benefits.
