As the title says using engine harness from the 07 and the 07 pcm. Problem is I believe is the c110 connector which is in line...main connector to pcm goes to the middle of the pcm and this connector comes off that. Was looking for pin out diagram for both 05 and 07? Also what does this plug control?
I've matched up some wires.
The plan is to cut the connector from the 05 harness and put it in place of the 07 connector to be able to plug into the 05 cab wiring harness which wasnt removed. I wrote down the connector numbers and colors of each plug circles show colors match from plug to plug. Pictures below
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Any questions or more info feel free to ask or/and I will provide more pictures if need.

I did a similar thing with a '06 harness. As you've seen, most of the wires are the same, but some are not. The 2 same-colored red wires were a challenge, as I didn't have the different connector pin-out in front of me, so just went with wire colors and where they went to and compared to the c110 connectors in the harness I cut it out from.
There was one wire that was needed to ground the a/c compressor or maybe it was cruise control; that's that the white wire was I think, that did not match up.

I was looking at both a '06 and '07 harness (although for a GT, so just a little different), and found out where all those wires should go in C110.
Using the pic of the rectangular c110 connector as shown, with the 2 solid-red wires to the left, the pin numbers are:
9-16
1-8
..pin 7 has the lower-right white/red wire, pin 8 is nothing there (on the side), pin 9 is upper-left red wire, pin 12 is the top black/white.
Depending on your engine harness/year, some of these wires won't be there. The main variables are:
Pin 2 - Blue/Yellow: on a GT, there's 2 of these on 2007+, they go to the A/C dual pressure switch at driver-side front of car. In 2005/2006, pin 1 is internal and wired differently, so is blank. -> the single blue-yellow wire would go into pin 4, both v8/v6.
Pin 3 - Yellow/Blue is an alternator monitoring signal. In some GT harnesses, this is all internal to the harness, with no separate wire out through C110; in 4.0/v6, this wire should go direct to the PCM and not through the C110, so this would be empty.
Pin 13 - this is not shown in the pic as being used, but in the '06 harness, that is the black ground wire for the a/c clutch. In 2007+, it routes through the BEC. THIS IS NOT THE BLACK-WHITE WIRE shown, but a totally different wire. Once on the body-side of C110, this is connected to a ground wire by the headlight, so you could simply do that from the engine harness, splicing a longer ground wire to that solid black wire.

There's a couple of other things, too, that might cause you issues.
The differences (in going from a 2007 to a 2005) are related to A/C, cruise control, and transmission (if using an automatic). As long as the pcm and wiring harnesses are the same, it should work as far as the car running. The A/C wiring changes may cause you some issues.

I left the in cab engine 05 harness in car and the 07 engine harness stayed with 07 engine/trans that's in my 05 now.

Ahh, in that case, I would have used the 05 engine harness to keel things simple.

Yeah he kept the 07 harness on we put it in then noticed the difference. Thanks to TexasBlownV8 I'm going to try to rewire today. Still got instruments cluster to tackle also, finish rerouting the power steering reservoir and connect all tubing so probably not get it all done. Only have sundays half day to work on. I'll let you all know how goes and what's the verdict after the rewire if have any questions more I will post. Thanks again

I still would have used the original engine harness from the car. No wiring work needed that way. Yes, there is that one bolt under the intake manifold for the ground wire, its a bit tough to get, but doable.

Keep in mind that compatible-year wiring harnesses are easiest mainly due to the PCM engine-side connector (C175E) and body-side connector (C175B) differences, and to a smaller extent if an automatic, to the transmission connector (C175T). Although, the differences are not that extreme of differences. I always thought the engine-side was a lot different, but apparently, looking at '07 and my '05 diagrams, there's fewer differences than I thought. I already mentioned some of them on the C110 and related circuits; on the engine connector (c175e), there's really only a handful, relating to evap, hi and lo speed cooling fan control, and alternator feedback/monitoring voltage ("GEN COM"), and a brake pedal signal. These last two are moved to the C175B body-side connector in '07.

The transmission connectors are mostly the same, but a few of the wires/circuits at first glance appear to be switched around, but regarding only the DTR trans connector functions (I think); and they might actually be wired the same anyways, just labeled a little different on the diagrams. Of course this isn't an issue on manual trans cars.

So, like everything else, the engine "should run", with the different-year harnesses, but some other things might not work properly, like cooling fans or evap.
I haven't manually-checked out a '05/06 harness on these to be sure, but sure yet, but would do so if cross-mating different years between 05/06 and 07+.

Engine now cracks with key programmed and synced to 07 engine and 07 pm but does not stay runningrunning. P0685 code along with p2111 and p2104
Key on at c110 connector 2 wires to 3x wires. 2 wires are yellow with blue strip which has power then a green w orange....the other side 3 wires are gray and red which have power and a black that is ground. I've tried some combos no luck yet. Any thoughts or things to try? At the relay got power on 3 of them 4 and diode is good.

So I would like to know the voltage readings at the power relay circuit.
87 for me is top right pin which has battery voltage. Can anyone post what all 4 pins are suppose to read with key on them key off please

Ok so a friend of my sons has mustang same harnesses. Tested all 4 pins at the fuel pressure circuit WITH the Cm110 connector (which is an in line plug 175e plug to PCM/and the only difference in the 05 and 07 engine harness) unplugged key on Good mustang has return signal, 5v, 5v and 5v......mine has return signal, 5 v, 12.64v, and 11.70 volts......
So for long time thought cm110 connector was wired incorrectly but that is not the case because its unplugged. So now back to square one. Why does my pin 3 and 4 have high voltage not 5 volts when everything is the same? Bad PCM? or something else? this has procharger on it as well...does it need to be tuned? will tuning bring the voltage on pins 3 and 4 to 5 volts where it should be?

Car starts then dies is what is happening.
