Hello everyone,

My 2005 stang had an misfire today and I went to check the sparkplugs. I've come to realize that 1 of the coils wasn't holding on tight because of the bolt was loose. Did a further check up and it seems that it does screw into a plastic hole that broke. Did a search online but couldn't find the part number of this. My question is if anyone know the part number of this cover or any other idea how I can fix this.. I did put a tie wrap on it for a temporary fix.

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

Holy s**t!... That's aluminum, not plastic.... and it's a part of the valve cover, not a part you can replace.

You'd have to buy a new valve cover to fix it. Tasca Parts has them for about $120 each. Here's the part numbers:

Driver's side: 9L1Z-6582-C
Psgr side: 9L1Z-6582-D

It looks like it was smashed downward or pried outward.... Or maybe a much larger bolt was forced in there... But I have a hard time believing that just "happened" over the course of normal operation.

And on a side note, clean up that engine bay, your motor will be happier.
