I purchased the items as described and did the delete yesterday. Couldn't have been easier and the parts recommended fit perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for asking CR. Goes way back… car would always perform better on a rainy high humid day. Return to 60’s never questioned a whole lot with our ‘67 Fastback. As years progressed and I had a Lil’ Red Express Truck, built my own WI. Not that difficult with carburation, used spray bottle nozzles, window washer reservoir and motor- best for last was triggered with commercial humidstat through gas pedal micro-switch. YES it worked, on a rainy day just sucked in air through 2 4” ram air intakes. Shut down for Winter of coarse, never mixed with wood alcohol. Why are you adding water injection to a stock engine?
Interesting project, do take pics and let me know how it goes. I’m pretty ancient outdated myself, and rely on the wealth of knowledge I find from the forums.
I’m well aware how water injection works, and I’ve seen it many times, but usually on cars with power-adders, and high compression engines, in combination with inferior fuels for street operation.
I considered it in the 70’s when I drove such a car, and had to stop at a local private airport for my fuels (I live only a 1/4 mi away so it was convenient). In the end, I didn’t go that route, and always thought it was interesting.
