Ok that was a click bait headline but seriously I’ve owned 4 s197 convertible hot rods all supercharged and highly modified for performance and subtle visuals. I “divorced” my last one after learning to hate it trying to solve an electrical problem. I miss the car every day. I could easily buy another one but my wandering eyes can’t settle on what to buy. What i really mean here is don’t sell it until you find something you like better!

Not planning on it unless someone wants to trade straight up for a C6 Z06 (the only 'Vette I really want) or an S550 GT350 (the only post-S197 Mustang I really want). Seems unlikely though.

I'm keeping mine till I die. At 19 years old there's no more depreciation and as it gets closer to 30 years, whereupon I'd be able to register it as a classic, it'll begin to appreciate in value. All I have to do is continue scrupulously maintaining it, and the colour combination always turns heads in a sea of boring black, white, silver, and grey vehicles. It ain't no garage queen either. The climate here is like SoCal so the car remains rust free and I can drive it year round.

I'm afraid nobody can predict the next 5 years. When you have to order gas from Amazon and pay in exchange with social credit points, the car is worthless anyway, so I will keep it :)

That was my reasoning when I bought my first two Mustangs. A 73 in 89 and a 70 fastback in 90. Didn't keep either one long enough to see the results of my brilliance.

Bought my 06 with 30k miles, sold it at 140k miles to get into a new Scat Pack. Scat Pack while fun didn’t scratch the same itch, so ended up selling that, buying an F150 and finding a mint 07 GT with 55k miles that I plan to keep until I die.

What do y'all figure I could get for my 4.6 3v engine (boss 302 rods) with 123700 cams, a TVS 1.9 supercharger, headers, what not?

about 100k miles on the whole thing, but it was all apart 13k ago for the rods/cams/had the exh seats and valves touched up. No oil leaks. Super damper!
