Drivers Door A Jar

For some reason I'm getting and on and off issue of a dash board message " Drivers Door A Jar" I have no idea what's going on and why its and on and off issue.

Happened on my 2003 Taurus. The solution was spraying WD40 in The latch mechanism. There is a sensor that gets covered in debris. Worked for me…

This is a HUGE misconception. The Door is a DOOR not a Jar!

The sensor is built into the latch. Latch most likely needs replacement

Better to spray electronics cleaner in there than oil.
