Several years back I went through a phase on my 2010 of lowering, changing the suspension bits and putting in a 1 piece driveshaft. I went with DSS at first but it kept making a metallic "tink" sound when starting off from a dead stop.
DSS claimed the joint was bottoming out and we're going to fix it under warranty. Then things fell apart with them, and they didn't want to honor their warranty, and tried keeping my driveshaft until $400+ was paid. Eventually ironed out, and they sent me back the same shaft with a new CV at the rear, but it was defective out of the box and they said no warranty. Side to side slip in a CV helps nothing. So, it's a paperweight and I got to drive a few hundred miles with vibes a plenty on the 1st DSS. Never installed the replacement.
I went with PST, ordered through a retailer at the time. It physically wouldn't fit my car. Had to call PST who then took the shaft back and shortened it about 1/4” and it has worked fine since. Vibrations are harmonic and a lot of it telegraphs from the tire I found. My car has spherical bearings and poly, plus is adjustable and the drive angle has been adjusted as well. On a regular set of tires from typical shop, I will get vibes beyond 70 that telegraph through the body and trans. I have a set of AM with Nitro NT05 tires and those are smooth up to 100. Haven't taken it faster as it's a street car only these days. Any chances to hit up a track dried up years ago, so I only use it for twisty roads, where it does well.
My 2 piece had a sloppy CV from the factory and was causing vibrations throughout the speed range, so I replaced it around 15k. Car was well out of warranty by then, and that was nearly 10 years ago. It finally broke 30k this year, almost all of it with the PST shaft, which has been fine.
