Howdy folks. I just picked up my first ever Mustang today. A 2008 GT Premium. It is a one owner with right at 200K miles and is very clean for the age and mileage.

I know it's forum sacrilege to not post pics but I literally just got home with it and want to get it shined up with some nice pics.

I am looking forward to contributing to the community and learning from it as well. I haven't had a good active forum community since TacomaWorld way back when I had one.

Welcome to the s197 forum, congrats & good luck with the 08.
Mod plans ??
Right now I am just going through the service records and making a list of things I want to change. I think it's original plugs (2 piece :( ) so that will be a fun change. I also need to change the pcv valve (having a fun time getting the correct part number) and flush brakes.

I might slowly start a mod plan once I get to know her a little better.

Welcome
Definitely read up plug removal. I broke #2 and #7, because someone mentioned an impact gun and zip them out fast. Don’t sweat it just pickup an extractor and take your time. Hind sight I should have let her get hot before removal.

Yep, my plan is to heat it up, then zip them out with an impact. I ordered the tool just in case. I think this set has about 80k on them so I’m hoping they aren’t too bad.

Consider upgrading your front rotors to 11 - 14 rotors. You only need the rotors and the caliper brackets.

Not Brembos, but a nice upgrade.
Great info! I was definitely going to research any small improvement I could make with factory wheels. Even though these current rotors are warped, I can tell they seem a bit weak even if they weren’t warped.

BTW - make sure you check clearance between your wheels and the caliper. It will sit a little closer to the rim.
