since your running an auto, the no HO kit will be good. Now you could invest that 5-6k into other bolt ones, suspension and some tires and get into the 12.50 range w/o stressing the motor with boost.
Remember the old saying gotta pay to play.
Once you step up into the boosted world, getting more power is just a belt and pulley away. Then before to long it pops and now you need to build a motor, then up the wick some more, etc etc. Soon your car isn't street worthy.
I suggest, lose some weight before race nights, some good strip only tires, cams, stall, lca, adjustable uca, pan hard, springs, shocks, and pullies. Maybe find an off road x pipe to swap out on the weekends also.
