Id eat my left testacle cold for one of the original 50 CJs. They will always have a higher value/cool factor.

The 05-09 S197 will really stand out in Mustangs history; in 20 years time these cars will be the stuff of bar room legend (and this forum :beerchug2:)

I reckon this race will be good to watch, both cars seem pretty even but were I a betting man, I reckon the TT car will win heads up.

...is it best of three passes? Damn I love this stuff!:beerchug2:

Who is volunteering to man the video cam come the big day?

Yikes! The eating of your testacle is a little much don't you think? LOL!

I think SD has a great chance of busting my ass, I don't back down from anyone though.

FYI. Did you know the Mustang is the second most modified vehicle in the US. Guess what is first..........................Pick-up trucks. Think about that, our cars rank #2 behind ALL pick-up trucks. That's impressive in my book.

Actually, youre comparing a vehicle type to a model line. As a model, Jeeps (CJs, Wranglers, TJs, etc) are most modded, then Mustangs. Where did you read/hear about pick ups as the most frequently modded type of vehicle?

I realize it's comparing a vehicle type to a model line, but it speaks volumes about the draw these cars have. From the 64 1/2 to the 2010 Mustangs have been an American icon.

I can't remember the source. I want to say it was an Autoweek or something along those lines. I'll try and find it again. It was a couple years ago.

Whoo Whoo another drama thread. Well as far as Trolls go, he doesn't seem too bad and at least he is going to race.

By the time this thread has run its course, this race is going to make the Rumble in the Jungle seem like a school yard tussle:clap:

We need to get it seeded on all the social networks, see if we can get record viewing on you tube!

Someone phone Jay Leno (and Rich Christenson, go on, up the odds!!!)

You need to get past calling everyone that challenges SD a troll. This guy is the opposite of a troll, willing to get out from behind the keyboard and put his money (or reputation) where his mouth is.

Sounds like a good race, but I'd like to see both be sticks or both be automatics. With all due respect to everyone, from my very humble perspective, it doesn't take much driver skill to deflect one's right foot 45 degrees while holding the steering wheel straight. No stick driver (especially me) is ever going to shift as perfectly as an automatic transmission. But there's been endless debates about this already, don't wanna start another one.

I actually was referring to his coming from another site to this one to challenge a member here. I actually don't have a problem with Matt, and hope he stays here. The new drama thread was actually directed at SD as a pot shot.

As for the auto or stick, I agree, it takes much more skill to win with a stick and to be honest, all the skill in the world with a sick is still going to be slower then that same drive with an auto in IMHO.

Gonna be tricky without slicks.. If the auto is on slicks and the street on DRs, its gonna be tricky

Leno will be fine. If Rich shows up I'm running over his ass. Already pissed him off at the Pinks show at HRP so why not just mow his ass down in the lanes.

A refreshing change indeed.

The trick comes in cutting the light and then using the throttle to keep the D/R's hooked when the boost comes on. There is one reason I did NOT buy a manual transmission car (even though that damn Shelby GT was calling my name from the showroom floor): I break shit. Badly. I would have been doing R&D work for Tremec, Liberty, and G-Force instead of going rounds and winning that title.

Matt is on bias-ply ET Streets and I'm on M/T 275/60-15 drag radials.

Glad you can see that's all this is. SD started flap'n his yapper and I responded. Win or Lose it's gonna be a good time.

Trust me I understand the "troll" thing. I'm a mod on our hometown board www.motownmuscle.com and we have our share of "trolls". The funny thing is we built a car for Pinks to race against a rival board.

Haha, that actually sounds like a fun competition. How about we do a S197 race against another board. We can just have SD run CK's car.
