I guess I am going to get flamed for this (its just my opinion), but I like watching it and it looks like it would be a lot of fun to fuck around with.

That said I absolutely dont think it should be a sport or race. And I dont think an s197 has any business doing it. Furthermore, your response to a moderator was pretty shitty, and no matter what the reason was, the bottom line is you still put it in the wrong section.

I was at Unique Performance in South Carolina, and this guys shows up from a shop called BevTech in an old Corolla that was kinda loud. So I asked him if it was anything special, and he was pretty modest about it, but said it was pretty fun. I thought it was going to be fast, so I asked him for a ride. Let me tell you I have driven some pretty high horsepower cars (1000+ hp), and been for rides in some amazingly fast cars, but this ride was in the top 5 most fun rides I had ever been on. And the car only made 250hp. On a 15 minute ride the tires might have had traction for a total of a minute. The motor was some swapped japanese motor (4agze) with a dry-clutched supercharger that only only made boost beyond a certain rpm. It made me want one just for a toy.

I think drifting is bad-ass! I know that it is the slowest way around a racetrack but racing is not the point, it's car control. I enjoy watching it and even tried it a few times with my 03 Cobra, it really isn't as easy as it looks. People like the OP are what give drifting an adolescent mentality. People who bash drifting should either go watch an event or participate in amateur drifting, it really is as addicting as drag racing or road racing. Besides, the women in virtually no clothes is a definite plus!
