Spectre also makes a kit to use a sleeve over your existing hoses, which is what I have on mine. They have the same parts for the radiator hoses, although they start to get a bit pricey. You need the 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" fittings for those. You can cut the braid sleeve with a pair of scissors and the ends have a hose clamp in them. I got all mine at Summit.

A note of caution if you use these - be very careful what you use to clean your engine! I had a number of fittings lose the anodizing after hitting them with cleaners.

I know for a fact that Greased Lightning will remove anodizing and paint too. I'm not saying that's what you used, but I know it's a popular cleaning agent. More of a heads up for everyone reading.

You mean something like this?

do you have any more large pics of the engine bay ? ...... I know you lengthened the injector harnesses but what all else ? knock sensors ? cam sensor ect? only thing i remember is that pic of yours with the 50 million wires hanging lmao

I would love to go all out like this but i would be happy enough if i could tuck the main harness underneath the manifold because all this wire looks like crap

damn there are some nice engine bays in here... this is something I have wanted to look into, but I have no idea where to even start. That clean look is just gorgeous though, especially with the braided lines.

man I have a lot of work ahead of me!!

Heavy, hope your feeling well these days....

Feeling quite well and thanks for asking. August 27th it will be 10 months since the open heart surgery. Took me awhile but I'm feeling great. :thumb2:

Waste of money. They will turn gray with time and heat exposure (and it doesn't take that long for it to happen). I had some on a few of my hoses when I was trying to decide if I wanted to do braided line or not. And when I finally did get around to redoing the hoses that sleeve crap was completely gray and so deteriorated that you could almost tear it off the hoses.

Glad you are doing well Sir, I had open heart in Dec. of 2003. It does take a while for the strenum to heal but I was shoveling snow 6 weeks after the surgery.

I'd settle for a clean engine bay. How do you guys find the time to have cars that look like they aren't even driven?

Not so hard to do if you keep up with it after you do the initial clean. Spend about 15 to 20 minutes under there each week and it's about that easy.
