Well A few weeks ago I installed BMR’s non-adjustable LCA with the relocation brackets. I knew that I was going to get some noise but this is ridiculous. Every time I’m going down the road you could hear a squeaking sound its pretty loud. I did grease the poly bushings is there anything else I could do to reduce the amount of noise. Is it possible that I over torque them?

i may be wrong but ive heard that you need to torque the lca with no load on them in other words with the wheels of the ground

So should you just hand tighten them without load, then take them off jackstands and torque them up to spec? I have a bit of a squeak with my J&M also and would love to eliminate it if possible.

I followed the BMR instructions to the letter: greased the faces of the poly bushings, installed them and then jacked up the axle until it started picking up the car off the lift (loaded suspension), then torques them, then greased them. They were quiet for a week, then they started making the tat tat tat wverytime I let out the clutch and it transfers weight back. Have regreased them several times with no change. Today I jacked the car up so that the rear axle was hanging, a d greased them in this position to see if the grease would get where it needs to to eliminate the squeak.... will tell you tomorrow if it made a difference. The problem is that the metal sleeve that the bolt runs through, once torqued, doesn't move in relation to the car, but the bushings do move around that merL sleeve.....and that's the sound we're hearing. CHE does have the beat system, but no greasing nipples. I really need to invent a poly bushing that has an effective greasing mechanism to avoid this problem.

The poly bushing fractured in my BMR lca and went with a sperical joint lca on the axle end of the arm. Alittle NVH but they work 10X better.

Yeah, hit 'em with grease. Mine were squeaking for a while and I pumped some grease in...now they're pretty quiet and all I hear are the spherical bushings on the axle side.

You will actually feel a thunking - not so much a squeaking - if you didn't torque them under load.

dang your car's purty!

I gonna jack up the car in the morning

Let me know how it goes...I haven't driven mine yet...will post when I have results from the hanging-axle greasing.

Well I greased the bushings and turned the nuts and bolts back a half turn. I drove the car around and got a lot less noise. I'm gonna tighten up the bolts a little later under load.

Can you describe what happened? The grease kinda covers up whatever damage there is to the poly bushing.

Dang, I had a pair of these (with zero problems) and sold them when I got the GT500 cause I thought they weren't designed for that level of power....maybe I just need to buy another pair. I looked at the website and it doesn't specifically say anything about being designed for the 550 rwhp level, which is where I'll be in the not too distant future. I emailed them ans asked if they would but their bushings into my BMR lca's; would mind paying them $140 just for that (I prefer billet aluminum to welded tubular)...let's see what they reply.

I can't tell you exactly what happened other than the poly bushing broke away. I noticed it squeeking and it didn't seem to feel right on that corner. I don't remember which corner either now but I think it was the passenger side. It appears that I was over greasing the bushing too but I don't think that had anything to do with it

I got a pair of che tubular LCA's sitting in the garage next to the 4.10's lol I promised my baby "this summer" I chose CHE because of the delrin bushings and how beefy they are, I don't want to keep greasing the LCA's every now and then.

When you have a bushing that is cracked is it always pretty easy to see? I'm going to be checking my polys next week some time and once I clean the grease off I'm wondering if it should be obvious or not.
