Hey everyone,

I’ve got my 07 GT here and I’m just curious what you guys think is going on here, so instead of the usual lateral axle alignment problem that is solved with an adjustable panhard bar, I have a what appears to be a “clocked axle” or it appears it’s been twisted a few degrees clockwise. Anyone got any ideas? Please tell me I’m not the only one that notices this.

PSA: ignore the gap I’m on uneven ground, the problem persists even on leveled ground

Mods:

UCA: stock
LCA: BMR w relocation brackets
Panhard: Adjustable BMR
Springs: adjustable perches w lowering springs

Something definitely looks off... Get the alignment checked. Then look for adjustable LCA's if needed.

with how low the car is, maybe check the bump stops to see how centered the axle is on the stops (and if they are even on both sides)

If not that, you may need adjustable LCAs

Do you have the relocation brackets installed correctly? Are the lower control arms attached to the relocation brackets using the same bolt hole on both sides?
Yes, I installed them awhile ago and torqued them to spec everything appeared fine, I’ve had them on for about 2 years now. I noticed this problem probably sometime in the last 3-4 months. That’s why I’m thinking it may be an upper control arm bushing blew out and now the axle has play? Not sure…

looks like your car will be running down the road sideways, get a friend to follow you and that will confirm. My guess is he will be fit to see your whole drivers side of the car. Your tyres probably will be worn on one edge if its been doing that for a while.

If the axle was square with the chassis when you installed the lowers and relocation brackets then you could be loosing a bushing. The torque boxes on the S197 don’t distort easily so I would not think the chassis is tweaked. Adjustable perches could induce a “yaw” if they are not set the same on both sides just as a collapsed spring can.
