Aren't the manuals marked higher then the autos? If so he might be trying to get more money off you so he can bank on commission.

dealer is wrong, maybe the manuals he has on the lot all have the Brembo package on them, but they are optional

When I went to the dealer a few months ago to check out the forms for ordering they said that the Brembo package was only for sticks.

go to ford.com and build your stang. Brembo's are an option not standard. This applies for both Manual and automatic cars.

hes not saying they are standard but they are ONLY and option on manual. if you get an auto then its not an option..

WHICH is TRUE.. go to the website and you can only add the option of bremos on STANDARD stangs. if you get an auto you dont have the option of bremos.

just get the auto with the stock brakes and buy a bremo kit aftermarket. its cheaper anyways. dealer wants 995 for the bremo upgrade and you can get them for around 700 new

It'll be within a few feet, on the stock pads.

The difference is that the Brembos have a much wider selection of pads available if you want to track the car, and you won't have to deal with pad taper.

Braking is the conversion of inertia to heat.

The larger your braking assembly the larger heat sink you have and the easier it is for your braking system to absorb the inertia and to dispel it.

A single 30 MPH stop with both systems might not even show a decrease in stopping distance on the Brembo on a 65 degree day.

Meaning that the "Brembo advantage" won't be felt at 30 MPH to zero on a 65 degree day as much as it will be felt at 100 MPH to zero on a 95 degree day.

Nor will it be felt in single stops versus a series of stops that doesn't allow for the heat to dissipate in-between.

Retained heat is what I'm describing and it causes brake fade in a serious manner as the pads fight to grip the rotor which is to hot to handle :)

Not true. Our manual car is stock brakes. The stock brakes are 13.5" and they stop great!

He did not say brembos are standard on manual cars. He asked if it's an option ONLY for manual cars.

The answer is you can NOT order brembo brakes for the AUTO cars from Ford. It's only an option for manual cars. But of course, there's nothing keeping you from doing it yourself later.
