Just to let everyone know we've been working on our own 3" Offroad and High Flow Catted X-Pipes for the 2011 5.0L GT. The X-pipes are made of 3" mandrel bent aluminized steel and are a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock catted H-pipe. The catted version will feature Magnaflow's high flow metallic spun race cats.

We expect to see around a 15rwhp increase with the offroad version. Back to back dyno testing will be done on our car shortly.

Pricing still hasn't been set but I should have that squared away early next week.

Here's a few pictures of the removal of the stock midpipe and of us mocking up our new 3" offroad pipe.

I'll post more pictures and info about the pipe next week. Take a good look at the stock midpipe. It's 2.75" just after the cats and then steps down to 2.5" before it steps back up to 2.75" at the H. Pretty weird looking setup if you ask me. None the less we feel that a complete 3" setup with no step downs will probably yield some nice gains. I guess only time will tell.

I might be wrong but the bolt pattern in the headers looks almost the same as the Kooks 3V right?? Or they are completely different?????

Well it certainly doesn't look like they used stainless Steel for the header flange! Appearently just the tubes. How many miles on the car? Have you washed the engine very much? The flanges are rusting alot already. Are you taking this car to Mustang Week?

is it true the 2011 GT has a 2 3/4 in exhaust stock?

From what I've heard, it changes between 2.5'' and 2 3/4'' about two times throughout the exhaust system. I'm not sure where those changing points are though.

If yall read the first post he talks about it going from 2.75" (2 3/4") down to 2.5" then back up before the H-pipe.

Sorry luillo but I'm not sure if the bolt pattern is the same as the Kooks 3V header flanges.

The car has about 800 miles on it now. The engine has never been washed and indeed this car will be with us on display at Mustang Week along with our black w/grabber blue striped 2010 GT500.

Can't wait to see everyone there.

Here's a short clip of the Lethal Performance 2011 5.0L on the dyno at UPR Products in Lake Worth, FL. For this run the car had the stock tune and a Lethal Performance 3" Offroad X-pipe. Everything else on the car is completely stock. As far as dyno numbers go we're unable to advertise them as that info will be released in an up and coming 5.0 Mustang Magazine article compliments of editor Steve Turner. We are however able to release information about the gains we got with the 3" offroad pipe over the stock one. On a completely stock 5.0L we picked up 14rwp with the addition of the 3" offroad pipe only. This is on the stock tune with the stock manifolds and stock catback. All we did was remove the stock catted H-pipe and put on the Lethal Performance 3" mandrel bent x-pipe and a 14rwhp gain was achieved. The offroad x-pipes go for $299.00 and will be shipping the first week of July. Our 3" offroad x-pipe is mandrel bent and is a simple bolt-on modification. No cutting or welding is required. Installation should take less than an hour. You can order them by either calling us over the phone or by placing the order online. Either way we'll be glad to assist you.
