Hey guys, just thought I would drop a line and say hi to everyone.
Ive just picked up my first mustang. Its an '06 GT with 22k on it, black with charcoal leather interior.
Some poor soul lost it to repo and I picked it up for a sweet price.
I sold my custom Hayabusa to pick this ride up so Im coming from an insanely fast bike to a car that is quick but not fast yet. Im just starting out on this journey so any advice is welcome. Im installing my CAI tonight and I was thinking about getting pulleys then headers and then getting the tune. If anyone knows if this seems like the right order to do things in please let me know.
Im up in Northern Illinois so if anyone is in this area and wants to hook up and talk Mustangs, drop me a line.
I plan on going to the all Ford show in Joliet mid July too.

Welcome to the forums....there are plenty of guys around the chicagoland area that have mustangs. I know one guy in particular that lives in Buffalo Grove, IL which is pretty far up there....

Start of with the CAI and tune. Which CAI kit do you have as well because it may require a tune for you to run it.

What are your plans for the car....is it a DD or do you plan on taking it to the strip? From there we can direct you in which mods will be your best investment.

Im up in the Rockford area.
This is my summer car. I dont plan on taking it to the strip but you never know. I really just want to make this into a fast car that walks the coffee can civics that annoy the crap out of me.
I picked up the K&N CAI, that I will be putting in tonight. It will be a first for me. Im used to working on bikes, cars are a new thing for me.
So a tune should be done before pulleys and headers? or do I do another tune between each mod?

That K+N CAI is probably the worst of the lot. You will not get much out of it without a tune.
