Do you think this will benefit a FI car making about 20 psi. and revving to 7000 rpm? I still am torn between this intake and the JPC intake. I noticed from some other cars that the JPC intake gets heat soaked pretty bad and this one shouldn't do that since it is the plastic like the stock.

It'll be awesome b/c it'll dissipate the heat faster b/c of the material the FRPP manifold is made out of.

These dyno results are pretty different from the other ones that have been posted (even on this site) which showed minimal gains (<5hp) w/ similar mods.

What's the secret or the difference in testing?

I'd like to see some more graphs from other users w/ similar mods.
I'm very interested in picking up one of these manifolds, but I don't want to chunk out $550 and gain 2hp.

I'm lost on that baseline. No real power curve and why did it hit max hp @ 4000ish and fall on it's face? Shouldnt the curves look somewhat similar and shouldn't it make more power in the higher rpm?

curves are very similar, red is old and blue is new.one pair is hp and the other pair is torque, its normal for torque to fall off.

so with all this

C&L Racer CAI, BBR GT500 Throttle Body Kit, Underdrive Pulleys, Off Road X-pipe and JBA Axle Back

the car only put down 267rwhp?

Yes, that is correct. The Automatic killed it.

I'm not doggin'..... but i'm kind with Agent Jones on this one. I have seen plenty of cars with those mods (or less ) tickle the shit out of 300hp. That 267 number seems REAL low. Hell, for that matter, my car laid down more than that on it's bone stock baseline dyno pull back in 2005.

was that at HPP's dyno? i dyno'ed my 05 GT (auto) there back in 05 and with a C&L CAI, bassani o/r x-pipe and bassani axle back and 4.10s it made 280 at the tire. granted, they were very impressed...i think Jeremy was the guy? he said he didnt expect to see that with an auto. it made 299 tq.

TB's usually are'nt worth much power. Is this intake going to require a bigger TB to produce those #'s on a N/A bolt on car?

I dont think anyone's going to go through the trouble to buy the intake and not get a bigger TB.

What would be cool is if someone could do some flow testing and see how much a 62mm TB can take/ The stock intake/ The Frpp and then the stock rate for the heads.

they jury is still out imho....i for one would buy the intake and not switch throttle bodies....i mean is there any evidence of bigger throttle bodies being of any value? kind of like this intake itself. i'm still skeptical..
