you can get a mint condition stock gt bumper from new takeoff for 350 shipped or so. thats what I did on mine and the paint matched up fine. The bumper I have on the car now is one I found on craigslist cuz someone hit my car while it was parked and the estimate was 2600 dollars, so i was like f that, and it actually matches better than the rear bumper which was painted by a body shop and installed on the car.

Do you guys happen to know where I can find a exploded parts diagram for misc. front end pieces? I need new splash shields, 1 Driver's side headlamp, new front bumper foam padding, new undertray, numerous fasteners, etc.

See attachments.

Seriously--check out the painted stock stuff on www.newtakeoff.com . It's dirt cheap and is removed from brand new cars when upfitters like Roush and Saleen put body kits on GTs.

Also Stangin, you should be able to find a replacement hood on Ebay...you could even get a carbon fiber one if you don't think it's too ricey, since your car is black. There are a bunch of carbon ones for $580 on ebay.

Thanks for the advice guys, especially ArizonaGT, the parts list will help me out a lot. I think I'll have to rule out the CF hood, as I auto-x quite often, and CF hoods will bump me out of ESP class.

Those bumpers on Newtakeoff are quite the deal. $200 usd +shipping and taxes for a painted front bumper skin is a good deal, considering a local body shop wants to sell me the same thing for $550 + prep and paint.

Edit: I just priced out the the shipping on Newtakeoff to Canada. Holy Shit!
Subtotal: $199.99 Shipping: $496.75 Handling: $0.00 Tax: $0.00
Order Total: $696.7
$700 bones for a front bumper! I guess there's really no easy way out....

Isn't it fun living up here in the Great White North when you try to get things shipped from the US at a reasonable price.

Yeah, I know, Canadian consumers always get the shaft. It's just like how our Mustangs are 30% higher in cost.

http://www.tsbshipping.com/index.htm is what I'm going to use for my parts. Unfortunately, it's no help for you Sleeper_08, but perhaps you can find a similar shipping company near you?

If I get the front bumper shipped to Point Roberts, I can get the price as Peetiewonder said, roughly $350. I'm going to check local wreckers next week, and then start piecing things together.

Last year I drove down to Sam Strano's in the spring to pick up my parts.

Nice drive and I got to meet him.

Most HPDE events down in South Florida use an insurance company with their events where you can buy insurance for a day through them for " x " ammount of money. When I did Camp Steeda at Sebring it was a 100 bucks for the weekend to fully cover the car. Not a bad idea to ever do in an event where you might push hard.

If there are any Mustang tuner shops in your area check to see if they have any "take off" fascias or hoods. One near me had some hoods but no white one which was what I was looking for.

The new takeoff fascia comes painted to boot. You can't beat the ~$200 price tag. Here's my little "wall kiss" from last year fixed in my garage, no paint necessary (I'm keeping the hood scratch for as a reminder to keep on line…):

maybe you should get a P.O. box in the US. like in port angeles. If thats even possible. It would considerably save shipping costs.

Not to jack the thread but has any one put brake coolers in a saleen front? If so any pics

Me and my buddy at EvoSport are gonna make carbon fiber brake ducts to fit my Saleen front bumper. It will slide over the back of the 2 openings on both sides of the front bumper and the drivers side will have a hose on the top going to the air intake box. I'll let you know how it turns out!

yeah it aint cheap, but it's the best for corner carving.

The actual splitter setup isn't on the FR500c car though, it's on the Miller Cup cars. And the FR500c aka the same cars run in the Koni Challenge, run the same front bumper that is stock with vented ducts for brake cooling etc.

yeah i would say if u have a homie on the other side of the border ship it there and pick it up. cuz it should be like 150 to ship to the west coast thats how much mine was and it matched better than one the bodyshop painted for me.

Hey, I am heading to Arizona in December with a trailer full of furniture and it will be empty on the return trip to Victoria. If you can wait that long, you could get the bumper shipped to my parent's place in Arizona, much cheaper and I will bring it home for you.
