I was always partial to Blizzak's, but we get quite a bit more snow here than you do.

I use General Grabber AT2s on my Jeep, which is the only one of my cars that comes out of the garage in the winter, lol

I used Blizzak LM25's (no longer available) last winter to great effect. When the interstates were snowy I had no problem doing 65 mph with perfect control when everybody else was doing 35. I highly recommend dedicated winter tires if you're in an area with alot of snow. Just be sure to take them off when it gets warm, they start wearing really fast at ambient temps over about 70 degrees.

I use Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2's on stock chrome bullitts in 255/45-18, not the greatest for all out deep snow, but like you I have a 4wd for that, so they are perfect for cold weather and the occasional "got caught out in it" moment....won't have to put those on until at least November, it stays mild here in PA well into October....

My friend was able to drive through a parking lot filled completely with snow and not have one problem with the blizzaks..that's why's going on my car this winter.

Blizzaks are hands down the best snow tire, but with all the torque we put down they get chewed up and spit out FAST, that's why I went with the Pilot Alpin PA2's, they are a more performance car oriented tire and more of a winter tire, not a snow tire. PA2's are great on dry or wet cold roads and will work good in snow up to about 3-4 inches after that the Blizzak is definately king....

I'll have to look into this tire then cause when it's snowing heavily I try to not drive the mustang, and the Blizzaks have absolutely NO performance.

since I can contribute figured I would snap some pics for you. They look huge next to my Nitto 555's that are the same size at 255/45-18 but I had no rubbing issues, they are a little taller over the Nitto's because of tread depth I suppose but I assure you they are the same size.

I think PA3's are the new one's but they do still make PA2's to my knowledge.
