I got my new intake today---going down to the shop tomorrow--hopefully it will be on the dyno next week! Port size should be closer to the P51 intake ports vs the Ford Racing intake I had---all though the ports look tall enough at 2.45 inches, they look a little narrow for the heads, so some work port matching will be needed.

Ok, got the valve cover problem fixed, and the new intake. Everything is bolted up now ready to hit the dyno......

except the distributor.....the cap is too larger for the intake--it hits the waterneck area. Already ordered the right MSD distributor from summit, but it will take 2 days to get here. :mad2:

I am chomping at the bit now....its so close. Can't wait to see what power numbers it puts down. My friends 565 big block chevy put down a little above 850 on this dyno, hopefully I will be significantly higher then that. But what will really interest me is the torque number. 543 rwtq was enough for my 3622lb car (with me in it) to go 10.1Xs so we will see.

Getting closer. Delivered the right distributor today. All that the engine shop needs to do is run the vacuum lines, lock out and intall the distributor, and put it on the dyno. A little bit of grinding is all it took to correct the clearance problem between the valve cover and the last exhaust valve on each head. The carb was already tested on another engine and it is currently jetted with 94s on the front and back.

Here are some more pictures. Next post should be the dyno numbers. Nothing holding me back now....
