Well, not really but kinda. Long story short, I had to run by my in-laws house yesterday and they have a 1/4 mile long gravel driveway(with two very steep hills) that is still mostly frozen over. When I went to leave I didn't have enough speed to make it up the second hill and started spinning. Tried to back down and get turned around so I could get another run at it. Well, that didn't work out so good and I got off the side of the driveway and into the soft stuff. Really soft. :hammer: Used my father-in-laws four wheeler to pull it out but not before I snapped a couple pics of my mistake, lol. :ftard:

Big thanks to Justins197 for letting me clean the car at his house! And now that I have your attention, I snapped a few rolling pics after I got her all cleaned up. I only had my Droid, so they are not the best quality.

It's funny to see how people in the south that normally don't get snow really struggle when driving on the slick stuff. I would love to live further south than Ky, somewhere that NEVER sees snow as I have seen enough snow in the last two years to last me a lifetime. The car looks killer though!!

I know what you mean, but it wasn't the snow that caused the problem , it was ice. It was my own stupid fault for trying to turn around(on the soft muddy ground) instead of just backing back down. I am not exaggerating when I say that part of their driveway was solid ice, and it is a really steep, about 175'-150' long. Once I did get unstuck, I had to get a running start(45mph) on the part of the driveway that wasn't frozen and I still barely made it up. Heck, I drove to the firehouse 3 times last week in the snow without incident. And it is 38 miles each way.

And thanks for the compliment! :thumb2:

Your poor Mustang! Glad she is all cleaned up now. To the guys up north that think we are all just a bunch of rednecks that can't drive in the snow... For the most part your wrong. The rednecks are great snow drivers with their 4x4's and extensive off road experience. The city/suburb drivers can't drive in it because 1, lack of experience, but mostly because DOT and Roads and Bridges aren't equipped to deal with snow/ice.

When it snows up north DOT is out plowing and salting the roads. Down South we may only hav 10 or so plows to service ten counties. The same goes for the salt trucks. Down here DOT won't even start to plow or salt until the snow/ice has finished falling and by then it's too late. For the most part the blame lies with DOT/Roads and Bridges. I have been up north when it has snowed three and four feet. It is much easier to drive up there in that than when it snows six inches down here!

Yea both of us live about 20-30 min from alabama line!

Cool, i live in Pell City. I am like an hour from you guys then, probably 1.5-1.75 hours from Atlanta( i think). Going the speed limit with traffic it takes about 2 hours realistically though.

I used to race MX at Mill Creek in Pell City. It's only about an hour and a half ride for me.

Don't want to start a new thread but I swapped my emblems today. Much better.
Took off the GT emblem and this is what was left.
